Ch. 8

(Sonic's p.o.v.)
I pace around in my room trying to release some anger while flaring my quills up. I hear my door open, turn to see shadow at my doorway then continue pacing. "Sonic" I ignore him every time he calls my name. "SONIC!!" I turn to him and glare angrily "WHAT?!" I growled. 

He looks stunned for a second then sighs "are you really that angry at me sonic?! He's the one who started it for chaos sake!!" I massage my temple and sigh in annoyance "I'm not just mad at you I'm mad at both of you for starting something that could've been avoided if it wasn't for your temper shadow! Honestly, I can't stand your temper at times!" 

I hear shadow growl angrily "Your angry over my temper?! He started calling me weak Sonic!" "And you let his word get to you shadow! I knew it was a bad idea to be dating  cause I knew this would happen!" "Fine If you knew...we're over then see you later faker." My eyes widen at the same time my ears go down and turn to see him leave the room with his jacket. "Shadow!" I run after him and blocks his path "shadow, love hang on what do you mean by over?" 

(3rd person p.o.v)

Shadow rolled his eyes in annoyance "I said what I said now get out of the way!" he snarled at his ex. Sonic's eyes are filled with sadness as shadow pushes him out the way to leave the evil base. Sonic's eyes lose their spark as he walks back to his room to go cry. 

Later on, Tails went to go and check on his brother after calming their father with Rouge walking next to him in her usual sassy and flirtatious way. Tails knocks on the door then walk in while rouge waits in the hallway. "Sonic how are you..." his voice trails off as he sees sonic curled up on the bed sniffling under the blanket. "Sonic what's wrong ..?" he says as he approaches cautiously.  "Go away...I don't  wanna see anybody....just go before I lash out at you or anyone..."

Tails ignore his warning and sat on the bed then place a hand on his bro "Sonic I'm your brother tell me what's wrong...you can tell me anything..." He hears a mumble but didn't understand "what?" "shadow broke up with me....for lashing out at him..." Sonic's voice cracked mid-sentence and cries again. Tails stayed quiet turns on Sonic's music box to put him to sleep then walks out closing the door behind him.

(Rouge's p.o.v.) 

I see Tails walk out of the room a bit sadden yet angry. "Hun, what's wrong?" He looks at me "Shadow broke up with Sonic I dunno how long ago..." My eyes widen in shock 'that grumphog...' "alright I'm on it" I flew off to our apartment. "That grumphog I need to see what's wrong with these two...I have a feeling it had to due to the fight.." 

I land at the balcony of the apartment and slides the door open "Shadow?" I slide the door closed and walk into every room to find shadow. "Shadow! Are you home?" I heard an upset no coming from shadow's room and knocks on the door. "Hun can I come in?" I didn't get a response and walk-in seeing the room all dark. "Shadow? Hun, what's wrong?" There was an awkward silence between us...a long silence...I sighed and got up. 

"We broke up.." I turned to Shads "....What happened shadow?...you were happy..." I see Shadow sit up and wipe tears off his muzzle. "Faker said he couldn't stand my temper no more...Then he says that he knew that we shouldn't have dated in the first place this would happen...It made me angry so I left I-I didn't want to snap him Rouge I-I..." He sighs and wipes his face. I rub his arm which he lets me do when he's sad "oh hun...sure there were going to be consequences dating a son of the evil egg but still...you guys have to make up some point...but until both of you calm down...okay?" He nods "good I'll be in the kitchen making food." I walk out and sigh "this is a mess...I hope the stubborn hedgehogs work it out".
