It was the next day and I woke up to early for some reason. "Great, might as well get up then" I said throwing the sheets off me
I get up and throw a hoodie on. I start heading for the kitchen to make breakfast. "Alright what do we got to work with" I asked myself
I look in and there was some milk some eggs and some kind of meats. "I can work with this" I said
I grabbed the eggs and all the meats. I see some vegetables from the garden in the back and grab those too. I start do cut the vegetables while heating up the pan for those eggs. Then I season the meats while cutting them. I scrabble the eggs then put everything in the scrabbled eggs. I pour it into the pan and it starts to cook everything just right then I fold it in half making a omelet. I pour a couple more and make one for everyone. I then hear a cup being placed. "Master Oden, what are you doing" Jenkins asked
"Making breakfast, also thanks for the tea" I said drinking some
"You know we have cooks for this right" Jenkins asked
I gave him one of the plates. "I know it just calms me when I wake up to early. Also that's for you" I said cleaning stuff up
"Thank you, but you still don't need to work yourself so much, that's why I'm here" Jenkins said
I sigh. "You know Jenkins I have to ask, why. Why have you stuck up for me even though you risk losing your income and home" I ask
He then put down his fork and looked at me directly in the eyes. "Well Oden that's simple, I see you as a son. And I try to support you wherever I can because I see myself in you" Jenkins explained
"Well then thank you Jenkins, I'm glad your here" I said
He nods as he finished his omelet. "Also a great meal. You have to teach me it sometime" Jenkins said
"Anytime" I said
"JENKINS ITS TIME FOR OUR BREAKFAST" mom yelled on a intercom in the kitchen
"Jeez how do you deal with her. I'm her son and I hate her" I said
"Just have patience and focus on why you are doing something and you can achieve anything" Jenkins explained grabbing two of the omelets
I grabbed the other three and follow him. "Morning mrs. Blight, today is a house special" Jenkins said
He put the plate in front of her and Alador. "What is this" Olidia asked
"A omelet that I made" I said giving two to the twins
"Oden we have cooks for this, you don't need to do labor work. That is for peasants like Jenkins" Olidia scoffed
I was about to say something but I see Jenkins shaking his head no. I keep quiet and keep my anger in. I give the last one I had to amity and sat at the other end of the table. "I know mother but I like to do my own work every so often. Like making sure secrets are kept" I said glaring at Alador and he flinched
Jenkins puts another cup of tea infront of me. "Thanks Jenkins, you know me too well" I said
He nods and went back to the kitchen.
"Still we have peasants to do our dirty work so we don't get our hands dirty with labor work so don't do this again" Olidia said
"Oh my Titian, Oden this is the best breakfast I have had" edric said eating more
"Edrics right it is great. It's packed with flavor" Emira said
I look to amity and she is just shoveling the last bit of it int her mouth. "I need more of this" amity said
"Oh sorry amity I am not allowed to since it's peasant work mother said" I smirked drinking more tea
I see Olidia take a bite and she is just staring at the food. "Maybe if he teaches Jenkins how make this we shall have it more often"Olidia said wiping her mouth and then eating more
"I'll consider it but for now I have to get ready for the day if you don't mind" I said getting up
I walked out and went to my room. I took a shower then dried off. I got some new cloths on for today, I had on some ripped black jeans, Black chucks, a white flannel with blue, purple, and pink stripes. And a maroon beanie to top it off. I look in the mirror and see my ghost of a left eye, empty with no life. "I guess people would get creeped out at that. Where are my contacts" I said looking for them
I see a case for one and open it and see one pink colored contact and a black one. "I'll just do the pink one" I said to myself
I pop it in and when I get it aligned I kinda looked like murdoc from gorillaz. I then look at my hair and see it's kinda long. "I guess I should change it, need to try something new." I said
I grab some scissors and a clipper and start doing it. I cut the sides short to about a buzz cut and keep my hair long at the top. I push my top hair to the side letting it hang over while pushing the middle up, finishing the look. I put my beanie back on and I look better now. The sides are brown but the top is still green. I grab my stuff for school and walk out to the front seeing my siblings waiting on me. "Wow, going for a new look, looks great" Emira said
"Wanted to spice things up since amity stole my hair style" I said
"I think it looks better on me" amity pouted
"Whatever you say green bean" I said
We walk to school and we're talking about how fun last night was and all of that. "So how was being with everyone" I said
"It was great, better than having to talk to adults all mature and crap" Edric complained
"Yeah great to talk with people you know" Emira said
"Like the little beast keeper" I said
She then started to blush like a tomato and Edric and amity laughed. "Oh what about you two, Edric with the plant kid and amity with a certain human" I smirked
Then there were three tomatoes. "Oh this is too good" I laughed harder than ever
"W-well what about your human you were with, you seemed pretty close" amity smirked
"HUMAN WHAT HUMAN I DONT KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT" I said blushing like a mess
Now the three of them were laughing at me. "Ooh big brothers got a crush" Emira teased
"N-no" I said
"LOOK THERE SHE IS" amity yelled
I then panicked. "WHERE" I yelled looking around
Then I heard even more laughter. "Oh good one mittens, he can't be the only one teasing us" Emira said
"Look there's luz right now" I said
"Ha like I will fall for that" amity said
"Hi amity" luz said from behind her
"AHHHHHH" amity screamed falling over
"Pffffft not so high and mighty now are ya green bean" I laughed
"S-shut up, and luz what are you doing here" amity asked getting up
"Oh I was bringing my sister to get inrolled into hexide" luz said pointing to Lucia
"Sup blight" Lucia said
I heard her say, great right now, luz had to bring her now. "Nothing much noceda. I see everything went well" I said
"Yeah, luz had a place for me to crash so that's better than in trees" Lucia said
She then grabbed my guitar from her back. "I also think this is yours." Lucia said tossing it to me.
"Yeah it kinda is but it's also yours since you won it" I said putting it on my back
"Yeah but you need it more since I bet y'all four are doing more of this concerts y'all did last night" Lucia said
"You know that may be a good idea" I said
We walk in then luz and Lucia split off towards bumps office. Then the twins split off towards illusions. That leaves just me and amity. "So last night, how did you and Lucia meet" amity asked
"Well I went outside after mom scolded me and she was there chilling so we started talking and then you and luz were getting chased so we helped" I said
"But why was she there" amity asked
I actually didn't think of that, why was she there, she looked like she was decked out with those glyph things and that bat. Why was she bringing a bat around. "I am not to sure amity" I said
We went in abominations and after everyone getting yelled at for how bad there abominations were unlike Mine and amity's the bell rang for lunch. Me and amity were walking there and I was getting weird stares so I just glare at them making them look away. When we walk in it seemed off "Amity, is it just me or are people staring at me" I said
Amity looks around at everyone. "Yeah, they are. Why are they doing that" amity asked
"I'm about to find out" I said
I go in the middle of the lunchroom and stand there, feeling everyone's eyes on me. "So everyone seems so interested in me, mind telling me what would be the reason" I asked looking around
Everyone was silent. "WELL SOMEONE BRAVE ENOUGH TO TALK TO A DEAD PERSON" I yelled
"I am" someone said
I look in the direction to see a person my age, his sleeves were yellow saying he's in the potion track. He had black hair and he looked angered by me. "So what is the reason I'm so interesting" I ask
He walked up to me and he had to look up since I was taller than him by about two inches. "Cause we have never seen someone just come back from the dead everyday" he said
"So what are you implying then. I'm clearly alive" I said
He pointed to my chest, "or maybe someone is pupating you, like your a doll" he said
I then start to get aggravated. "Alright if I'm a doll then why can I do spells" I said with a blue fire in hand
"Why do I have scars, if they wanted a good doll wouldn't they keep the face perfect" I said
I then point to his chest. "And why in hell do I have emotion" I ask
He stayed silent, "because if your not a doll then you would have a blind left eye. I see you have a perfect eye" he said
I start to laugh. "Oh so you want to see under, is that what your asking shrimps" I ask
I take out the contact showing it to everyone. "THERE YOU GO EVERYONE, IM BLIND YOU KNOW ITS TRUE, I AM ALIVE AS EVERY ONE OF YOU. Just like all of you. So just leave me alone" I said walking away
"No your not like us, your a monster" he said
I turn my head back to him. "ODEN IS NOT A MONSTER" amity yelled
"Shut up blight" he slapped her
"Unleash the beast" "he's right your are a monster, you killed all those people and you know it" "shut up" "but you can't deny it"
The fire started to consume my legs. "Show then what a true monster is" "no I'm not a monster" I said holding my head
"Oh but you are, so what are you gonna do, I can do way worse to your sister" he said kicking her now
"Stop it please" I pleaded my head going in circles
"Come on you monster what you going to do about your pitiful little sister" he said kicking her more
"AAAAAHHH JUST STOP" I yell
"NOT UNTIL YOU SHOW ME IM RIGHT" he yelled about to do a spell
But my flames became black. He is coming out, the beast I lock up. My golden eye becomes blood red. I jump at him and kick him in the face with my flaming legs. I start to kick him with full force everywhere, I kick him in the air and jump up, I raised my leg and kick him back down breaking a table. I then raise my leg as I fall down and before I land on him I kick him deeper to the concrete ground. My fist set aflame as I grab his cowl raising him up. I could hear people saying to stop but I wasn't listening. They wanted a monster, well you asked and you received. I was about to punch his face in but then I get hit with something and black out. The last thing I saw were a pair of glowing orange eyes.
