I ran, racing tears falling out even thinking clear. Time wasn't even a thing at the moment,as I trampled up the steps I heard frantic footsteps behind me. As I continued running i headed for the roof of the building. I opened the exit door to the roof and stumbled to the edge. The footsteps got closer slowing down when they got closer to me.
" Lailoni don't you fucking dare"He said in a stern voice tryna get me to come to him.
I couldn't even respond I just took one step over the edge and let the rest of my body follow...
𝐋𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐚 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧
Its been 6 months since my sister lailoni passed on and it doesn't get any easier. I had to move back in with my toxic mother,since I was staying with lani.
As me and my mom drove up the road I looked out the window reminiscing about my childhood here in Cali.
"Lai stop feeling sorry for yourself..when we get out here I want you to at least try to me new people " My ma said hitting my shoulder to catch my attention.
" okay ma..." I said blowing her off. "Lani..."She said snapping. " Okay Ma I said okay...damn" I muttered the last part under my breath. "Im serious Ion want you in my house moping around" My ma said turning up the radio.
I just scoffed it off nmand closed my eyes until we got too where we was going. When we got too my moms house I got out the car grabbing my stuff. I laugged them up the steps all the way into my moms apartment.
As I looked around I got those childhood flash backs I hated. The reason me and my sister left at a young age. I saw needles and pills on the table. The house smelled like weed and ass and her furniture was soggy asl.
" I know the house is a mess just leave ya bags here got em" she said shooing me out the door. As soon as I stepped out the door she slammed it behind me.
I just sighed and walked down the stairs case,and long behold...
