As Jungkook scrolled through his phone, the room was filled with the soothing melody of music. Suddenly, the sound of a car pulling into the driveway caught his attention. He knew it meant his father was home, bringing with him the turmoil that always seemed to accompany his presence.

Feeling a wave of frustration, Jungkook decided to retreat to the safety of his own room. He wasn't in the mood to endure the hurtful remarks and tension that often accompanied his father's return. But just as he was about to make his escape, he noticed something unexpected.

There, beside his father, was a young boy. His father had his arm wrapped around the boy's slender waist, a sight that stirred a mix of emotions in Jungkook. He recognized the telltale signs – this was yet another one of his father's conquests, another person caught in his destructive orbit.

Despite himself, Jungkook couldn't help but study the boy standing beside his father. With his soft features and innocent demeanor, he seemed almost angelic. Pushing aside his conflicting thoughts, Jungkook rose from the couch and made his way upstairs to his room. But not before shooting a disdainful glance at the boy who had unwittingly become entangled in his father's web.

This wasn't the first time Jungkook's father had brought someone home. Ever since his mother passed away from breast cancer five years ago, it had become his father's routine to bring different women/men home. Jungkook knew his father didn't love his mother, or even him for that matter. His father was never faithful; he used to have affairs, but he was always careful not to bring them home. He feared that if his in-laws found out, they would take their daughter back, and he wouldn't be able to inherit his wife's wealth.

Jungkook's mother was aware of her husband's infidelity, but she felt helpless. His father would threaten to harm Jungkook, and she couldn't risk her child's safety. Despite everything, Jungkook's father only cared about one thing – money. When Jungkook's grandparents (his mother's parents) were involved in a car accident a year before her death, it was as if his father felt liberated. With no one to hold him accountable, he felt like he had the whole world to himself.

Despite the soundproof walls, Jungkook couldn't bear to hear any more of the unpleasant noises that filled the house. It was as if he couldn't stand being under the same roof as his father any longer. With a heavy heart, the tattooed boy decided to leave the house and stay at his friend's place for a couple of days. He needed to escape the suffocating atmosphere and find some peace of mind away from the turmoil at home.

As Friday morning dawned, Jungkook returned home to find the house shrouded in darkness. The only light emanated from the kitchen, where he could see a faint glow. Hungry and tired, he made his way to the kitchen to prepare breakfast, the clock showing 7:00 AM.

However, what greeted him in the kitchen was unexpected. There, seated at the counter, was the same boy he had seen two days ago, nestled in his father's arms. The boy appeared lost in thought, unaware of Jungkook's presence.

Surprised and puzzled, Jungkook couldn't help but ask, "What are you doing here?" The boy, looking no more than twenty years old, startled at the sudden voice and quickly rose from his chair. "I'm sorry, I'll leave now," he murmured softly, bowing his head apologetically before hurrying out of the kitchen.

But just as he was about to leave, Jungkook's voice stopped him in his tracks. "I asked you something... why are you still here?" It was unusual for his father to keep his companions in the house for more than a day. They usually disappeared as quickly as they came. Jungkook couldn't help but wonder why this boy was an exception. However, without giving any answer, the petite boy left the kitchen, leaving Jungkook with more questions than answers.
