chapter eight

A month passed in the pridelands and kion wounds have fully healed and formed scars

Kion is currently walking back to the den when he heard a voice coming from behind him

Voice 1: hush, we need to be Quiet if we want to sneak up on him

Voice 2: I know

Kion stops walking and closes his eyes and started listening to the sounds around him

Voice 1: okay, get ready to pounce in 3 2 1 go

When the voice said go two lions jumped out of the grass and towards kion who quickly moves out of the way of both attacks

Kion: *chuckles* if you want to ounce on me you need to be quiet, kiara, Tiffu

Kiara: you're no fun kion

Kion just smiles and Walks up and nuzzles kiara's leg

Kiara, kion, and Tiffu then start walking back to the den together

Kiara: so kion how was your day

Kion: eh, not bad. Yours

Kiara: the Queen lessons are so boring

Kion smiles and looks ahead and sees a familiar rock formation

Kion: look, pride rock

Tiifu: race you both there

Kion/kiara: oh it's on

With that the three cubs all rush off towards pride rock

The cubs are just about to enter the den when kiara trips on a rock and falls Forwards and ends up tripping kion and they both go tumbling into the den

When they stop kion was laying upside down on kiara's head

Kiara: well that was fun

Kion: yeah

Kion/Kiara: let's do it again

This got multiple small laughs from the lions in the den

It also got a growl from Midas

Nala laughs a bit before walking over

Nala: you two look like we are having fun

Kiara and kion both give a small

Nala then picks kion up and walks back over too her sleeping spot and setting him in between her paws

Nala started to clean kion while kiara started talking with him

Kiara: I hope we get zebra for lunch

Kion: no gazel is way better

Kiara: no, zebra is better and has more flavor

Kion: no zebra Taste like dirt

Kiara: how do you know what dirt tastes like

Kion: you don't want to know

Simba enters the den a sees his daughter and adopted son having a friendly

Simba: enough you two, there is no need to argue, everyone knows that zebra is better

Nala: no way, gazel is better

The lions on the den start laughing at the sight of the king and Queen getting into the cubs arguments

Eventually the argument stops and nala finishes bathing kion

Nala: all done

Kion: finally it's over

Kion starts walking out of the den to get some water when Midas cuts him off

Midas: where do you think your going runt

Kion ignores Midas and walks past him

Midas: you really are weak, no wonder your birth parents abandoned you

Kion stops and turns to Midas and starts walking towards him

Kion: I Warned you once and I will do it again watch you words, it will get you into trouble one day

Midas: oh sure, who would dare challenge the mighty Midas

Kion: probably anyone, because from what I've seen you are not good at fighting

Midas growled and does something no one expected... He hits kion across the face, by this point the other lions have started watching and were shocked at Midas's actions

Midas: you will learn not to mess with those that are better than you

Kion just starts laughing and rises to his paws

Kion: was that the best you got, Janja hits harder than you

Midas growls and charged at kion, but kion just side stepped and hit Midas in the side knocking him off balance

Kion: you let your anger control your actions, big mistake

Midas growls
Kion just walks back towards nala and kiara

Midas: the only mistake here is you

Kion stops moving and turns around and glares at Midas

Kion: you're right I have made mistakes bit coming to the pridelands was not one of them

Kion turned his back to Midas once again and walks up to kiara and nuzzles her leg

Kiara: let's go back in the den kion

Kion: agreed

With that the two cubs went back into the den and continued talking, and eventually kion fell asleep in kiara's paws
