Queen

I picked up the folder Lucifer set down and looked through the first page. On the left side column was the phone number, next was the date, followed by the duration of the call.

As my eyes skimmed the paper I didn't see anything crazy until I flipped to the next page. There was a specific number that kept popping up. It continued as I moved on to the other pages and I shook my head.

"There are so many calls from this one number," I said.

"I saw," Lucifer said. "Do you recognize it?"

"No."

"Let's just call it," Hades suggested. When everyone turned to him he shrugged and shrunk into his seat slightly. "What? Isn't that the best way to see who it is?"

"He's right," Cleo said with a stuffed mouth.

"Can I use someone's phone?" I asked.

Cain handed me his phone and I opened it and went to the dial pad. I typed in the number but before I could click call, Hades stopped me.

"Wait! Don't call first, text them."

"Why?" I asked.

"They'll hang up as soon as you call. Text them pretending you're Dimitri, and tell them to call you but you can't talk because...I don't know make-up something.

"Okay."

I typed up a text message to the number and when I was done I read it out loud. "Hey, it's Dimitri. I'm locked up but I snuck a phone in. I need your help. Call me please, I can't talk so tell me what to do and I'll do it."

"What if it's not someone who wants to help him?" Genesis asked.

"You wouldn't call someone that consistently if you didn't have some sort of bond," Caspian answered.

"So send it?" I asked.

"Yes," Hades said. I looked around at the sporadic nods and I clicked the send button.

With a sigh, I set the phone down on the table and sat back in my seat. "Now we-"

The phone began ringing and everyone around the room looked at each other hesitantly. I looked down at the phone and groaned when I saw a contact flash across the screen. Cain looked from beside me and winced as he declined the call.

"Sorry...that was one of my-"

"We know," everyone said together in almost synchronization. When we realized what we did, we laughed and Cain covered his face in embarrassment.
We got lost in a random conversation about Hades but it came to an abrupt stop when the phone rang again.

I sat up in my seat and looked down at it. I took a shaky breath and looked up at everyone.

"It's the number."

"Answer it," Lucifer urged.

"Everyone stay quiet," I said. They nodded and I answered the call and quickly put it on speaker.
