Samyra's POV:
It's been a little over a month since I got married and I am pretty much satisfied. My routine is pretty much the same and on Sundays, it's my duty to cook lunch while on weekdays we pretty much are busy with college and work. These days Arjun has started attending college more but there are still days when he wouldn't, and I don't know why but I miss him those days. I miss our conversations back home about how our day was and other random talks.
True to his promise, Arjun took me to my parents house whenever he could and it was after a stern warning from mom, that I asked him to reduce our visits, making it limited to only when I ask him to take me there. I have become much more comfortable and used to the idea of Arjun being in my life. We would get into silly arguments and dad being the best, would always take my side and scold Arjun, much to his displeasure.
Arjun and I have established a friendship which I am glad about. It would have been weird being forced in each other's life and having hatred between us. I know none of us wanted to be married at this stage of our lives, but we are. It's better to be friends and have a cooperative relation than a relationship where cohabitation is impossible.
I don't see Arjun often on campus in between our classes since we both have classes in different blocks all together and honestly, I am fine with it. I mean I anyways am home with him only. Today Arjun hasn't come to college as he had some important work with dad in the office.
I am halfway done with my classes and decide to go to canteen for food. Anmol also tags along and together we enter the cafeteria to see it already full of people.
"Seems like the prince is already here. We won't be getting a place to sit I guess." It's true wherever Arjun goes, crowd goes and much to our dismay cafeteria is on their target today.
"Well, let's place our order and then we can take it and go outside." I suggest seeing we won't be getting place to sit anytime soon.
Arjun's back is towards me which I think is a good sign. We place our orders and wait for it in front of the counter, when my phone pings. I open my phone to see Arjun's message.
I know we decided to keep things low-key but that doesn't mean I will allow my wife to have someone else's hands all over her. -Arjun
It is now that I realize that Anmol has his hand on my back to keep people rushing in and out of cafeteria from bumping into me.
I didn't know you were coming to college today. Everything okay? -Samyra
I don't think that's necessary at this point. If you don't want me to come there and remove that asshole's hand, you better do it yourself. -Arjun
My head snaps up to see Arjun turned around and his gaze fixed at Anmol's hand. I distance myself from him a bit subtly.
It's your fault. -Samyra
How is this my fault, wifey? -Arjun
Well, I would have gotten a seat if you weren't here in this cafeteria. -Samyra
What!? -Arjun
I look up to see the confusion clear on his face and I almost stop myself from laughing.
Well, Mr. Oblivious, since you are here, half the college is here to look at you. So, now I did not get a seat because of that, so it's your fault I have to stand here. My friend has to keep his hand on me to protect me from bumping into people and getting hurt. Stupid! -Samyra
Wifey, I don't appreciate being called an idiot or stupid every now and then. And you can always come and sit here, I promise I wouldn't mind;) -Arjun
