Samyra's POV:

I wake up by my alarms blaring by my head and groan at the mere thought of going to college and attending classes. Who even wants to go to college on their birthday when they have no one waiting there for you to show up, ughhhh...!

I open my eyes after mustering up a lot of strength and giving myself a mental speech of how it is all going to be fine. I turn to around only to see Arjun's side empty and it is no longer a shocker for me, mostly he is up before me and in the gym, while the other days when he decides to wake up with me, he workouts in the evening. It is so different than the initial days when he would always be up before me.

I am brought out of my thoughts from my alarm ringing again. I quickly shut it off and the other five alarms set five minutes apart or else they'll keep on ringing and automatically snoozing and again ringing. I get ready hurriedly and decide to dress up a bit since it is afterall my 21st birthday.

I wear a blue floral dress with a brown belt on the waist, accentuating my figure. The dress ends just above my knees. I quickly put on my no-makeup makeup, wear my wedding ring, put my wavy hair in a high ponytail and descend downstairs in the search of my husband.

I decide to check the gym but before I can go there, I hear a lot of clattering going around in the kitchen. I make my way there and see my husband going back and forth

"Good morning my finally adult wife!!" I laugh at his words and move inside to see what he is doing.

"You do realise there is a chef to cook for us on weekdays?" I question him, amusement clear in my voice.

"Well, here I am trying to cook for my wife and she cannot even appreciate it. I woke up early and am here but no, she has to remind me that we have a chef. So, encouraging!" He says in a fake sad tone.

"Yeah, yeah!!! Now tell me what did you cook for me?" I question him excitedly and stand beside him looking inside the pots on the stove. Before I can actually remove the cover from over the pots, I am pushed by Arjun, making me pass a deadly glare.

"You pushed me!" I accuse him, shocked at his action.

"No, I did not. I moved you back. Drama queen." I huff and poke my tongue at his back.

"You know Myra..." He says seriously before turning towards me. I look at him expectantly to continue.

"Now that you are 21, I think it is expected of you to act your age and if not that then atleast act like a 16 year old?" He says seriously and turning off the knob, leaves the kitchen quickly knowing he is in deep trouble for the line he just spoke. I run out of the kitchen and find him on the other side of the dining table giving me a teasing look.

"Arjunnnnnn... You are so mean. You are being mean and awful to me on my birthday?" Before he can reply, I pull a chair and look down, sad at his words.

Arjun opens his mouth to apologise, I think, but before he can do that, dad grabs his ear and twists it.

"What did you say to my daughter to make her sad on her birthday?" I looks at me accusingly while I pass him a wink before going back to my sad demeanor. I already saw dad making his way towards us and knew this was the best revenge for Arjun's meanness.

"Dad, aahhh, it's hurting. Leave me. I am 23 now, and my in-laws are here, what are you doing?"

"I am giving you what you deserve. Doesn't matter if your in-laws are here, if anything they should also punish you for making their innocent naive daughter sad on her big day." He says.

"No, no, no. Can't you see the glint in my daughter's eyes? She is no innocent." My dad says siding with Arjun who gets out of dad's hold and hides behind my father. My mother also supports him and it was at that point I knew that no one other than dad is my own in here! Arjun nods from his place, making dad shake his head and turn towards me. I have my shocked expressions covering my face at the betrayal of my parents. Before I can say anything, I see Yash Bhai making his way towards us.
