/Joyce's POV/
I was walking through the shelves of Rainbow Academy's library, browsing through the books it has, looking for something that will interest me
"History of spells... Greatest witch in history... History of the Rainbow Academy..." I softly read
"Wait a minute" I thought, going back a few steps
"History of the Rainbow Academy?" I read again, making sure my eyes aren't tricking me
"So does it mean the academy dates back far longer than we were told?" I asked myself, taking the book and heading over to a couch
"To the next generation of gifted and specials and the ones after it, we hope this book helps you learn more about our beloved, Rainbow Academy" I quietly read the front page
"The Rainbow Academy was established when the first generation of gifted people and specials emerged 500 years ago. Our goal in this academy is to help the gifted embrace their power and use it for the greater good, and for the specials to assist them with powers they learn called 'witchcraft'"
"The gifted and specials can only graduate out of Rainbow Academy once they fully mastered their powers and have made their bond with their other halves official. Gifted are bonded by mate marks and will have the same gift as them. Specials are bonded by red strings, although their other halves is not entitled to learn 'witchcraft' they could still learn it if they want to"
"What are you reading?" A voice behind me asked as I immediately slammed the book close
"N-nothing" I answered, turning to them
"Really? Doesn't look like nothing to me" The person said
"Do you really have to scare me like that, Mibuchi-san?" I asked with a deadpan face
"Sorry about that... wait, how did you know my name?" He asked
"We've been watching over you and the others for years, of course I'll know your name" I deadpanned
"Right... well, what's your name?" Mibuchi-san asked
"It's Joyce, Joyce Na" I answered
"That's a nice name" Mibuchi-san commented
"Thanks" I answered shortly, turning my attention back to the book I was reading
"Oh? Why is there a red string on your finger?" Mibuchi-san pointed out as I look at it
"Not entitled to learn 'witchcraft' but they can if they choose to"
"Ne, Mibuchi-san, do you want to learn how to make potions?" I asked
"What's with the sudden suggestion?" Mibuchi-san asked back
"Considering you are my other end and I'm currently mastering how to make potions, I could teach you while I'm at it" I answered
"Wait, other end?" Mibuchi-san asked
"Yeah, my red string is literally connected to yours" I deadpan once again
"I didn't notice that... well if you say so then I guess there's no harm in trying to create potions with you" Mibuchi-san said as I smiled internally
"Well, let's go then" I said, putting the book back in its place and exiting the library
"Wait, now?" Mibuchi-san asked in shock
"Yes, now. What are you waiting for?" I asked as he rushed to my side and we walked side by side to the laboratory
