Chapter 17: Eighth Red String

=Rainbow Academy: Kitchen=

/Daniel's POV/

I woke up earlier than usual so I decided to head over the kitchen and cook myself a decent breakfast for today. Usually, I would just use spells to summon myself food but I guess not today

Taking the ingredients I want, I put two slices of bread on the toaster, letting it do its work while I head over to the pan, putting a small amount of oil then cracking the two pieces of eggs on it once the oil is hot.

As I put the breads and eggs into a small plate and putting it aside, I made a hot chocolate drink for myself to complete my simple breakfast when I notice someone walked into the kitchen as well

"Ohayo, Akashi-san!" I greeted as he turned to where my voice came from

"Ohayo...?" Akashi-san greeted in confusion

"Oh, right. I'm Daniel Huang Yuyang, you can just call me 'Daniel'" I greeted as he nod in understanding

"Anyways, do you want breakfast too?" I asked

"I'd appreciate that" Akashi-san said as I nod and prepared another set of my breakfast

I put both plates, two pairs of utensils, and two cups of hot chocolate in a tray and carried it to a nearby table

"Let's eat, Akashi-san!" I exclaimed, gesturing to the seat in front of me

"Thank you for the food" We both stated before eating our breakfast quietly

"How is it, Akashi-san?" I asked after a few minutes of silence

"It tastes great" Akashi-san shortly answered as my lips curled up into a small smile

"Thank you for the comment, I was nervous since it's my first time making breakfast for myself and someone" I explained quietly, as we continued to eat in comfortable silence

"You should try cooking more, Daniel-san, I'm certain your classmates would love your cooking as well" Akashi-san commented as I looked up at him

"I'll consider doing that, thank you again, Akashi-san" I said

Once we finished our breakfast, I insisted on doing the dishes for the both of us and just told him to wait for me at the table to which he reluctantly agreed and patiently waited for me as I quickly washed the dishes

"Done!" I exclaimed, drying my hands in a cloth and walking over to him

"Let's go?" I suggested as he nod and stood up as we left the kitchen side by side

"So where are you heading over right now, Akashi-san?" I asked

"I don't really have a specific place to be in, do you perhaps have a library I could waste my time on with reading?" Akashi-san queried

"We have one, it's on the way to my classroom, let's head over there then" I said, turning a corner and walking the long silent corridor

"Say, Akashi-san, what kind of books interest you the most?" I asked, breaking the silence

"Books about business interests me the most considering I'm the heir to our company but I also have a liking to history and such" Akashi-san answered

"How about you?" Akashi-san asked

"I'm not really into reading books unlike one of my classmates but I do love fantasy and myths" I answered with a small smile

"Ah, here we are. I'm afraid I have to leave you now, Akashi-san, I still have classes to attend to.I appreciate your company, until we cross paths again" I bid, bowing to him before walking off to my classroom
