Hey guys! I hope you stick with me through this chapter. I'd love to hear your opinions and views.

ALL mobile editors and designers have tried or used Picsart at some point of their journey. If you haven't then idk for you lol.

Firstly, I don't think it's fair to do a generalised comparison between the two apps. Picsart is meant for editing pictures and IbisPaint focuses on drawing. However, I will compare them in terms my personal experiences with the apps and some influence from the Wattpad graphic design and edit community. This comparison focuses on editing and graphic design, not digital art/drawing.

• Below you will see some of my best works made using Picsart. Although these were made years ago when I was somewhat of an amateur Picsart cover designer, I still think these are good! If I had continued using Picsart, I would have continued to improve. My point is, this style CAN be done with Picsart. You CAN make good dark/'manip' covers with Picsart.

And dark, manip, glowy, etc type of covers would ideally be made best using IbisPaint (shown above)

I would think that Picsart is ideal for the lightish, teen fic style of covers (shown below).

You could argue and say that I'm just better at doing light covers than dark covers, but (not to sound conceited) I'm skilled at both. It all depends on the app I use. I hope you guys are getting what I'm trying to say!

It isn't fair to say that IbisPaint designers/ editors are better than their Picsart counterparts

It isn't fair to say that IbisPaint designers/ editors are better than their Picsart counterparts. What can be critiqued though is the final graphic and how easy the apps are to use. IbisPaint is actually easier to use and can do more than Picsart once you get the hang of it. Using IbisPaint for the first time is a scary experience, the interface looks very threatening ik, but give it a try. If your focus is dark, manip kinda covers, then I recommend switching to IbisPaint, you will probably never look back.

A lot more can be done with IbisPaint compared to Picsart. There are a handful pf tools in Picsart that IbisPaint does not have, but this can be replicated! It may take a little longer but trust me, you'll have more control over your design and work. If you look closely at my IbisPaint works, I'm able to focus a lot on details and the manipulations look so much better. Occasionally making a really good Picsart cover was just a flook, my dark covers were inconsistent.

But it is important to acknowledge that I learned the basics and a lot more about cover designing and editing through Picsart. Without that foundation my IbisPaint works would not have been as good as they are now.

To conclude, I know I may sound I'm contradicting myself quite a lot in this chapter but I hope you get what I'm trying to say. A generalised comparison can't be made between Picsart and IbisPaint. It all ultimately depends on what the individual feels comfortable with, what their style is and the final outcome. You do you boo

I was honestly going to write this chapter in favour of IbisPaint but after collecting and examining some of my old Picsart works to use for context, my view changed.
