Chapter 6: I'm Sorry

***Cussing***

~Y/n POV~

"Ok I'm asking first!" She says excitedly

"She better not ask about Albe—" My Thoughts are cut off

"Truth or Dare Y/n" she asks as she smirks, probably already knowing what I'm thinking

"Uhhh....Dare..?" I ask hesitantly

Her smirk widens as she looks behind me, I follow her gaze and see her looking at the sleeping Alberto. My head snaps back towards her and I shake my head 'no'

"I dare you to cuddle with Alberto all night" she says "starting......" she trails off as she looks at the clock on the wall "Now!" She says

I pout and crawl over towards Alberto and lift up one of his arms and curl up into his side, my back facing his chest. As I place his hand down, his grip immediately tightens and he snuggles up to me.

Giulia holds a hand over her mouth to stop from laughing at me and I glare at her

"Ok we're done playing! Goodnight!" She says then plops down and goes to sleep

I stare at the spot where she was sitting up for a second before it occurred to me what she did

"Giulia I swear on my life!" I whisper-yell at her and I hear her giggle

"Shut up, you know you're enjoying the cuddles. Now go to sleep!" She says to me

I silently mock her before turning towards Alberto in his arms, I look up at his sleeping face and notice the smallest details

"Quit staring at him, it's fucking creepy" The Voi— Bruno says "Silenzio Bruno!!" I yell at Bruno "Cute. But seriously you need sleep, you have a big day of doing god knows what with these three. Now quit being lovey dovey with Alberto AND GO TO SLEEP!!" Bruno yells at me

I grumble a few words but snuggle up to Albertos chest and listen to his heartbeat. My eyes slowly begin to close as I take in his smell, the sound of his heart beating, and the feeling of safety in his arms.

~Time Skip to morning~

I wake up to the sound of a god awful trumpet playing and I immediately snuggle closer to wherever it is that is hugging me and keeping me warm

I immediately look up to see that Alberto is already awake and looking down at me with a face as red as a tomato.

I yelp a little and quickly scoot away from him as my face becomes as red as his. He sits up and clears his throat while avoiding any and all eye contact with m

"Were...uh...were you cold...last night..?" He asks me as he slowly looks at me

I try to think of a different excuse but nothing comes to mind so I just nod and go along with his excuse

"Oh...ok well if you ever need a...uh...human heater?...again. Heh, you can always come to me!" He says as he runs the back of his neck and smiles awkwardly

Before I can Answer Mr. Massimo walks in

"Come on Ragazzi! We're going fishing today" he says as he hands me and Alberto each a fishing pole

I nod and stand up and help Alberto up

"Do you know how to fish?" Alberto asks me as we begin to walk down to the docks, fishing poles in hand and buckets in the other

"Yup! I would go fishing with my dad a lot, he likes being out on the water. He always tells me it calms him in a way" I say as I look down and smile a bit at all the memories of us out on the Lake or in the Ocean

"You're dad sounds like a fun guy" Alberto says  but I hear a hint of sadness

"What about your dad? Does he live around here too?" I ask him trying to lighten the mood but I see Alberto stiffen and his eyes widen a bit

"Oh uh....my dad left when I was thirteen..." Alberto trails off as he looks away and I see a tear fall down from his face

"Ah! Alberto I'm so sorry! I-I didn't know!" I say as I place my fishing pole and bucket on the ground and hug Alberto

He hugs me back and nuzzles his face into my neck. After a few minutes we pull away from the hug

"I'm sorry" I say as I pick up my fishing pole and bucket

"N-No it's ok! You had no way of knowing it's not your fault!" Alberto says flashing me a warm smile before continuing to walk to the boat

I quickly follow behind Alberto and we talk for the rest of the short walk to the boat
