We parked the boat and got off, before we walked away though I saw Luca and his parents in the water. I bent down to the water, Ercole,Massimo, and Giulia covering me so it doesn't look suspicious, and mouth to them 'Stay out of sight and be careful'. They all nod before swimming off and I stand back up
"Alright, it can't be too hard trying to find Alberto, I mean I'd imagine he's the only sea monster here" Ercole says
"True" I say
"Well we'll never know unless we go in so let's get moving" Massimo says before walking off
"We still gotta find some clothes to change into though Papà" Giulia says which makes Massimo stop in his tracks
"Right." He says before looking around, he looks into someone else's boat and seems to have spotted some clothes
He hops into the boat and grabs the clothes before throwing them at us
"Throw them over your clothes then take off your clothes from underneath" he says before demonstrating
We all follow exactly what he did before I begin to talk to Ercole, since he's the closest one to me as we all begin to walk again
"You know....I honestly thought this whole Alberto getting kidnapped was hard on me but for Massimo and Giulia; that's a son and a brother just taken from them" I say to Ercole, loud enough for only us two to hear
Ercole doesn't say anything as he stares ahead at the father and daughter
"You know I've never seen Giulia look this helpless before" Ercole says and I turn to him
"She's always been strong and stubborn, always standing up for the underdogs and everything. So to see the helplessness that showed in her eyes a couple days ago it....it was weird and I didn't like it" Ercole says and I look at him
I smile when I notice the concern in his eyes that he has for Giulia and Massimo
"I guess Giulia wasn't completely right when she said he was a monster." I think to myself
"Ragazzi let's pick up the pace!" Massimo says to me and Ercole and we both run up to him
We begin to look left and right for any sign of Alberto but so far there's no trace of him. My mind begins to wonder back to the nightmare I had
"What if it wasn't a nightmare and I was actually seeing what they were doing to Alberto?! What's he gonna look like then?! Oh no....he's gonna look like he was practically beaten to death isn't he? I don't know if I can handle that..." I think to myself before I feel a hand on my shoulder
I look towards the owner of the hand to see it's actually Massimo "stay strong Bambino(kid), Alberto would want you to" Massimo says and I nod before we all continue to walk
As I look around I notice everything that everybody's selling; Body parts, whether they're human or animal I don't know and I don't wanna find out, Cars, Vespas, Exotic fruits and vegetables, there's a bounty wall, some lions,tigers,bears(oh my!)some possums,fennec foxes,wolves, and many more endangered species
"Ok we're in the animals so we just need to find the sea life section of the animals and we'll possibly find Alberto" Giulia whispers to me then walks over to Ercole to whisper the same thing to him
I hear a dolphin call and look over towards the ocean and see a blue fin go up in the air for a split second
"Oh my god Luca! You dumbass you're gonna get caught too" I think to myself before quickly turning to the others
"Guys we gotta go! Luca just flipped his tail at me, I think he needs to talk to us" I whisper to the other three and they all nod before we begin to subtly yet very quickly walk out
"He's gonna get himself caught" I grumble to myself as I begin to notice a lot of people looking at us walk out
I look behind me at the other three to see if something wrong with them or to see if they did something yet I see nothing wrong. I then look down at myself to see if anything's wrong and yet again I find nothing wrong so I give the people a small and awkward smile before nodding and walking pass
We're about to finally reach the exit when all of a sudden I hear a man yelling, or a better word for it would be advertising, and I stop in my tracks to hear him
"You're eyes wouldn't believe it but my amazing nephew has captured one of the rarest creatures alive!! Scales as sharp as knives! Teeth that could tear through anything's skin! Claws that could cut through metal and a tail that could knock down a whole biulding!!" He advertises
"Where is this creature that you speak of?" A man asks and the seller guy smiles
"Right here my friend!!" He says before pulling a blanket off a cage and sure enough there he is
There's a hose attached to the top of the cage that sprays every minute or so, guessing so that he stays in sea monster form. The bars are a greenish color going to brown (like the cages in How to train your dragon) and a big lock keeping it closed.
The man begins to speak again "Now you may all be wondering 'am I selling this creature?'," the man starts and I immediately look up at him "yes, yes I am selling this hideous creature" he finishes
I feel an unknown urge take over me and before I know it I'm causing one big commotion yelling...
"How much for the purple creature?!?!" ———————————————————————————————————————————————— Alright now begins the rescue mission, sorta
I hope you're all still enjoying this story and all the twists and turns I still am managing to put into this book, and honestly for some reason it isn't hard for me to put in big twists so I guess that says something (whether it's good or bad I have no idea)
Also before you all come after me with the whole hinting towards Ercole and Giulia, I ain't shipping Canon Ercole with Giulia I'm shipping @/kainxte's (on Tik Tok) Ercole
