Vernon and Jeongyeon had given Sieun their notes at the hospital two days after their visit, while Nayeon and Dino had done so a day earlier. Today, it was Seungkwan's turn to deliver his notes to Sieun since his friends were occupied, and he had finished his work early.

Seungkwan prepared to head to the hospital, packing his belongings and making his way out.

Suddenly, his friends approached him, playfully teasing him.

Dino remarked, "No matter how hard you try to look good, you're still messy!"

Vernon chimed in, saying, "You're such a jerk to Seungkwan, but it's true."

In response, Seungkwan simply rolled his eyes and joked, "Well, get out of here!"

He walked out and hailed a taxi to reach the hospital.

Upon his arrival, Seungkwan noticed Uhm Jung Hwa leaving Sieun's room, so he discreetly waited until she had exited.

Once inside Sieun's room, he noticed her in tears.

Sieun said, "Please excuse me," her voice laden with emotion.

Seungkwan approached her immediately, wrapping his arms around her and gently patting her back.

"Shh, I'm here," he reassured her, offering comfort in her moment of distress.

Sieun's tears gradually subsided, and Seungkwan took a seat beside her, his gaze filled with concern.

"All of the bitterness in my life... you're there, and you know," Sieun remarked, her lips curling into a small smile despite the pain.

Seungkwan responded, "We all have bitterness in life."

Sieun appeared surprised, asking, "You? Really?"

Seungkwan nodded, saying, "I'm also human, Sieun."

A contemplative silence filled the room as they shared a moment of understanding and empathy.

Seungkwan opened up to Sieun, sharing his personal struggles.

"My parents vilified me as a child. I didn't have many friends, and Dino and Vernon are my only ones. Nayeon and Jeongyeon, we just became friends last year. My life exposes them to the risk of being bullied," he confided.

Sieun expressed her understanding, saying, "Sorry..."

Seungkwan continued, "But you came..." They exchanged glances, and Seungkwan added, "A new friend that I can trust." Their shared smile reflected the budding connection between them.

Meanwhile, on TV, an interview with Sung Sikyung, Sieun's father, was playing. The interviewer mentioned Uhm Jung-hwa, Sieun's mother's best friend, and Sieun couldn't help but express her disapproval with a dismissive "pshh."

Seungkwan glanced at the TV and then back at Sieun. The interview continued with a question from the audience, asking about the nature of Sikyung's relationship with Uhm Jung-hwa.

Sikyung replied, "Yes, we're all close, and my daughter is with us." Sieun's response indicated her disapproval.

As the interview progressed, Sikyung clarified, "I denied the rumor because we were only friends. My entire attention is on my daughter at this time. My work and my daughter are the most important things to me."

Sieun asked Seungkwan to turn off the television, and he obliged.

Seungkwan asked her, "Are you still upset with your dad?"

Sieun replied, "Yes, since my mother passed away, I'm no longer comfortable with him."

It's a heartbreaking memory.

Ten years ago, when Sieun was just eight years old, she went to her father, who was drinking alcohol.

"Daddy... Daddy..." she called out to him.

But her father, Kyung, noticed her and angrily snapped, "Get out of my sight!"
