LORI
I was sitting in a motel room with the rest of my sisters excluding Mom and my little sisters, Lucy and Lily who went to a separate room. A consequence of our actions against our only brother, Lincoln. I hated this. My father was gone, my bonds with my mother and sister may be broken and we drove our brother away. I can only guess how Bobby...no, what am I doing. My life has changed and the second thing I think about is Bobby. Oh god. I am obsessed with him.
"This is a disaster." I stated which caused my sisters to nod at agreement until I heard my sister, Lynn groan.
"Why are you groaning Lynn?" I asked.
"I'm groaning because none of this should be happening right about now. Dad should still be alive and that bad luck..." Lynn started to say before Luna interrupted her.
"Are you serious right now? Lincoln is our little brother...not some bad luck magnet." Luna said.
"But..." Lynn started to say before Lola placed herself into the conversation.
"It's time that we place this bad luck business to rest. We already lost so much and...I don't want to lose our brother too." Lola said.
"What are you talking about...he's bad luck!" Lynn exclaimed.
"To be honest, if he was bad luck then wouldn't our activities be cursed sooner than this. Besides any team would be able to watch old videos of your previous games and know your strength and weaknesses." Leni said.
"That can't be possible..." Lynn stated before Lisa jumped in.
"It is. Most sports teams use that strategy in order to get a leg up on their newest opponents. I tried to tell you this numerous times yet you ignored me and continued to pray to those good luck gods of yours. Plus I found some interesting footage that showed that Lincoln didn't want to go to your game in the first place." Lisa said which made Lynn nervous.
"W..What are you talking about? Lincoln did want to go." Lynn stated while her other sisters stared at her with raised eyebrows. They knew that Lynn was holding something back and wasn't willing to share which left...Lisa to tell what really happened that day.
"Lisa. Tell us what was on that footage." I asked with curiousity. It was clear that something was going on and we needed to get to the bottom of it.
"Lori..." Lynn started to say before I glared at her.
"Zip it Lynn. We have had enough of your lies and superstitions...and if you know something about the day that Lincoln's supposed bad luck started then spill or we'll have Lisa tell us." I said. Lynn stayed quiet which made the sister's turn their attention back to Lisa who would tell them the truth.
"Since Lynn is too much of a coward to tell you what happened...I will tell it all. Lincoln wanted a day for himself and was about to do so before Lynn stopped him. She asked if he would come to her game since he hasn't been there for the last couple of games. As you expect...he said no so in order to make him go..." Lisa started to say before Lynn tried to tackle her. Keyword being tried since her sisters stopped her.
"What did she do?" Luna asked as she held Lynn down.
"She threatened him with a bat." Lisa said which shocked everyone excluding Lisa and Lynn.
"You mean to tell me that Lynn blamed Lincoln for her game despite forcing him to go beforehand?" Leni said with disbelief.
"Yep. I bet that she didn't want to take responsibility for her actions and decided to withhold the truth from us all." Lisa said. When she stated this to us...it made my blood run cold. We treated Lincoln poorly due to Lynn's obsession with winning. I felt like such a fool and Mom would....
Oh no. Mom would just be torn apart by the news that we treated Lincoln badly for a bunch of lies, but it seems like our luck at that moment was low since our mother walked in with pajamas and stared at us.
"Girls? Is everything okay?" Mom stated. No one said anything and their was only one sentence that came to mind...
We're screwed.
TIFFANY
I stared at Chucky as she carried in a person from our past. I knew who he was and knew that his life wasn't easy. Who could it be great if his parents focused their attention on his older siblings.
"Do you have any idea on why he was in the woods?" I asked.
"No, but I have a feeling like it was his family's doing once again." Chucky said as she set him down.
"Of course it would. We've seen how they focused more on those girls and that they treated Lincoln poorly. The poor boy didn't even have any friends since his parents kept him from meeting too many people." I stated.
"That explains the blood that he's covered in." Chucky said as I noticed the blood that covered his clothes and some parts of his skin.
"He must have snapped...." I started to say before I heard Lincoln groan. As I noticed his eyes start to flutter open, I could only smile as he was about to be reunited with the girls who would do nothing, but love him.
For better or worse.
Hope you enjoyed the chapter...Bye 👋
