We woke up very early and went straight onto the boat to find the royal merchant. JJ was driving, he looked damn fine while doing it. Pope was look through the drone camera, Kiara was holding the drone rope and John B and I were doing whatever.
"All right, JJ. Pin it here" John B yelled to JJ
"Roger that! X marks the spot"
I held up the drone about to put it in the water "All right, ladies and gentlemen. To going full Kook" I said with a big smile on my face
"Woahhh" they all cheered
"All right, JJ, we're right over it. Ten seconds northwest"
"Got it! Ten seconds northwest"
"100 feet!" Kiara yelled to us as she lets more and more rope into the water. Suddenly, pope gasps and jumps back. I run over to him to see a squid
"It's just a squid dingus" I said in disbelief of how scared he was
"What? What is it?" John B asked
"He's just scared a stupid squid" I roll my eyes
"It's nothing" pope said
"Don't do that to me man!" I hear JJ yell
"And to quote The Hobbit, "Down, down, to Goblin Town. Down, down, you go, my lad." Pope said in a weird voice. I laugh and pat his back.
"400 feet!" Kiara yells
"Damn already?" I say
"Shit the tides turning!"
"Hey JJ! Ten seconds easy. South-southeast"
"Copy that!"
I felt my phone buzz in my back pockets, I look to see that DCS was calling. I declined it not saying anything to John B so he doesn't start to worry about DCS. I then get a text saying 'hello, I was just notifying you and your brother that we will be taking you into foster care today, what time is best for you?'
"What is it?" John B asked me
"N-nothing, just a wrong number" I chuckle nervously
"Okay" he said
'Shit' I thought to myself 'I shouldn't have lied'
"700 feet!" Kiara said, making me snap out of my little world.
Thunder was rumbling and it started getting hard to balance
"Shit!" I said as I stumbled into pope.
"Okay, 900!"
"JJ we are going to hurtle into the storm!"
"920!"
"Pope, Winnie. how are we doing?"
"Good so far I guess" I reply
"There's too much current!
We're gonna lose it!" Kiara yelled
"South, southwest, JJ! Hard!"
We were almost to the bottom so pope and i were focused on the camera.
"What do you got, Guys ? Come on, man. What do you guys see?" John B asked looking at the camera.
"Nothin'. A whole lot of nothin" pope said.
"We should we over it!" I say getting frustrated
"980!"
Shit shit shit shit
"We're at the bottom! We're at the bottom!" Pope said in excitement
"Okay, steady here, JJ!"
"We should be seeing something man" I said rubbing my forehead in stress
