CHAPTER 23

"Baby" I heard JJ whisper to me dragging the "y"

"Wake up sleepy head" he said kissing my forehead.

"What time is it?" I yawn as I pull him closer onto my chest

"It's 12 a-clock" he chuckles

"Shit" I say

"You slept outside?" He says looking up at me from my chest

"Yeah" I say giving him a smirk

"I missed you. You didn't wake up in my arms, it made me sad" he said giving me a cute pouty face.

"Sorry, I fell asleep outside" I giggled

"Okay let's go" JJ said standing up and grabbing my hand to pull me up.

"Why" I groaned

"Because, we have shit to do" JJ said picking me up bridal style and walking up to the wreck as I giggled.

"Is that enough food for them?" Kiara asked as JJ and I entered the kitchen.

"Should be" I say

"I mean, for a couple of weeks, and that's all they need, so.."

"Look, I think I actually hurt his feelings" Kiara said as she packed bags with food.

"I mean you did shoot him down, I don't think he would be happy" I say as we walk to Kiaras car

"Look, don't beat yourself up too much. He's completely changed his feels. The past 24 hours have been like Jekyll and Hyde" JJ said opening the trunk

"I hate to admit it, but I miss the old Pope.
At least I knew what to expect fro-"

"Where you been?" Kiaras mom cut her off.

"Shit" I mutter to myself as I cling onto JJs arm

"Uh I'm- im fine we slept here" Kiara said

"Well, we were up half the night, scared to death, lookin' for you. Were you even gonna tell us?"

"Well I'm telling you right now"

"What the hell are you two up to?"

"I'm sorry miss Anna" I say

"We gotta go" JJ finishes

"I'm sorry. Absolutely not.
Have you heard what's going on?"

"Mom, I'll explain later" Kiara said she gets into the driver seat, JJ gets into the passenger seat and I just get into the back.

"Have you heard about the storm?"

"Storm?" I say anxiously

"I'm sorry, Mom. I have to go!"

"These cops are armed Kiara! You will get shot!"

"Mom, John B needs me!"

I sat in the back feeling uncomfortable with the energy that has been created.

"Sorry! Kiara! Open this door!"

Kiara started to drive off with her mom running after us

"I'm sorry!"

"Kiara!"

Kiara finally drives away from her parents heading to JJs house. We drove in silence still crying

"G-guys, she said there is a storm" I say.

"It'll be okay" JJ says looking through the mirror at me.
