The past two weeks have been great, first Koneko and I have grown as a couple, going of more dates and eventually having a make out session at her place that ended with us cuddling on the couch and sleeping on it. Next I have been made the group trainer as I have experience from my family and own experiences, this happened when Rias wanted to test Issei and I so she had the others spare with us and I won in about thirty seconds because I had watched them in the first fight with Issei so I knew their weaknesses and how to exploit them, so after I gave them some recommendations on how to improve and when Rias saw this she asked if would help them all train and I said yes. Next Issei help Asia adjust to devil life, Rias said since my goal isn't to move up in devil society I didn't have to do contracts and could focus on helping the others including her, so everything was going good till today that is because we just found out Rias is engaged to a complete ass named Riser, and just as she told us this the named man appeared
"And like that Riser has returned to the mortal realm" he says and his eyes fall on Rias
"And hello my lovely bride" he continues
"I just met him and I already hate him" I say out loud and get ignored he takes a seat beside Rias and starts to play with her hair and touching her legs, I get ready to "nicely" ask him to stop but she gives me and 'stand down' look and I do so. After he gets some tea a gray haired woman in a maid outfit arrives and I can see some well hidden disgust in her eyes as she looks at Riser.
"Hello I am Grayfia Lucifer" she introduces herself and I swear I've met her before
"For the last time Riser, I will not marry you!" Rias says as she stands and moves between Issei and myself I get in a position to move if he tries something.
"But Rias this engagement is important to the entirety of devils" he says with a tone dripping with arrogance and privilege. He moves to grab her but Issei and I step into his path and give him a look daring him to touch her.
"Lord Riser" Grayfia says in a warning tone and he flinches but backs up glaring at us and we return it. Once he sits back down and so does Rias, on the opposite couch, with the peerage behind her Grayfia speaks again, this time in a more monotone voice
"Lord Sirzechs suspected something like this would happen so I've been sent as a peace keeper." She reveals her purpose
"If you really wish to be free then you can win it in a rating game" she says and Issei asks
"A rating game?, what's that?"
"A rating game is basically chess but with us as the pieces" I say and he looks confused
"In simple terms, it's a fight between two or more peerages" Akeno says and he seems to understand
"Is this all of your pieces?" Riser asks with a smirk
"And what if it is?" Rias asks skeptically
"You see my dear I have participated in nine official games, and have sixteen pieces or in other words a full set" he says and fifteen girls appear behind him
"You have participated in no games and only have six, seven including yourself. Your at a massive disadvantage you should just surrender now and save us the time" he continues, Issei starts to cry
"Rias why is your pawn crying?" Riser asks
"You see his dream is to have a harem" she says and holds her head, at this my left eyebrow begins to twitch
"That's your goal?" I ask in a sweet tone with a smile, but the aura around me is sinister. He pales and begins to sweat
"Umm, yes?" He says quietly, I giggle innocently, this sends chills down everyone's spin
"Two minute head start, I catch you I octuple your training" I say and any color he had left fades away and he sprints away. I recompose myself and say
"How about we make this a little more interesting?" I say and all eyes turn to me
"Oh?, Riser is listening" the man says
"Your entire peerage vs me" I say and Grayfia and his peerage look shocked, Rias and the others not so much as they have seen me in action.
"What makes you think you can do something like that?" One of Riser's pieces asks and I look to Rias who nods. I close my eyes and release some of my power, I raise it to match Rias at 100% shocking all but Rias and her peerage
"This" I say and stop the flow of power
"I'll even sweeten the deal" I say
"If you win you can have my Sacred Gear" I continue and shock everyone this time
"Do you know what that means?" Riser asks this time with a serious face
"To offer my gear is to offer my life" I retort with a equally serious face.
"Fine, Riser agrees to these terms"
"Then let's settle this after school tomorrow, that work for you?" I ask and he nods
"Very well then, the fight between Lord Riser Phoenix and..." she trails off and looks at me
"(Y/N) (L/N)" I say and shock her and Riser
"Did you say (L/N)?!?!" He shouts in shock and fear
"I did, I am the last (L/N) clan hunter" I declare and show my family crest tattoo on my right shoulder
"T-the crest is real, he's telling the truth" Grayfia says and he pales
"If you wish to forfeit do it now" I say and he looks confused
"Because once the fight starts, I'm going for blood" I say menacingly and he looks nervous and his peerage looks scared shitless
"No, we will fight"he says after a moment, still a bit white. His peerage looks at him like his grown a second head but says nothing
"The match will begin tomorrow at 8:00 then" Grayfia says, Riser and I nod, he then leaves with his peerage and Grayfia takes her leave to prepare the arena
"Are you sure about this?" Koneko asks concerned, I smile then kiss her and say
"Have some faith in me" she smiles and runs behind me before jumping on my back and wrapping her arms around my neck and I, on reflex, grab her legs to hold her up
"Then I trust you" she says and nuzzles into my back, I chuckle
"Now if you excuse me I have an idiot to hunt" I let Koneko down and start to leave
"Where you serious about his punishment if you catch him?" Rias asks a little scared for his safety
"No, if I catch him it'll be 10x the normal" I say innocently and leave
POV Koneko
"That man" I huff and smile
"Ara Ara~ so cruel" Akeno says
"I wonder if he'd be that ruthless with me?" She says
"You do realize his girlfriend is right there?" Akame says pointing to me
"Actually I have no problem sharing" I say and they all go wide eyed
"He's half dragon, a god at that, so it's expected he's going to have a harem. As long as I'm the alpha I can share" I say and Akeno and Akame have a look in their eye
"Seems the harem will come sooner then expected" I think to myself with a light laugh.
