hi
a simple word
only two letters long
yet once you let those letters
curl out under of your tongue
something amazing occurs
that person
the one who heard you
they look down at themselves
and blush
the next thing you know
you've got that one looking up at you
smiling
they are utterly embarrassed
and unsure if they should hold your hand
or just sway their arms back and forth
until they go for it
the confidence that one word brought
the distance quickly shortens
and the one
found you just as captivating as the word
