As the Wind Blows

As the Wind Blows

You can’t see the wind

But you know it’s there

You watch its effect on the grass

And trees

And even the animals

You hear it

When it rushes past your ears

Or when it rustles the leaves

It’s obviously there

And has no intention of hiding

We have yet to open our eyes

And see it how it wants us to see it

Maybe one of these days

A young boy will go fly a kite

And that boy will understand what we cannot

He will understand the power of the wind

As it blows across the world
