Chapter 43:Megalovania

"Should be burning in hell!" [King of Elves]

Suddenly, the Hydras on the walls moved and all their heads are directed at us in a split second. Light filled the hydra's eyes and their heads positioned themselves as they open their jaws to reveal a brighter light accumulating in their throat. We were surrounded by the hydras from all sides. With a loud sound, beams were fired from the hydra's mouth towards us.

The beam closed in on us, 15 meters, 10 meters, 5 meters.

"Insolent fool!" [Calli]

Calli immediately reached into her dimensional pocket,  pulling out her scythe, and hit the staff of the scythe on the ground.

The boss music stopped and the beam directed at us canceled out each other by crashing against each other. It seems Calli must've gained control over the King's summons.

The cave entered into a deep silence.

"KISAMA! WHO THE HELL ARE YOU!!!" [King of Elves]

The king's rage reverberated across the hall.

"Me?" [Calli]

Calli's hair turned back into the usual pink color and her cape flew out of her dimensional pocket. The cloak ate through Calli's clothes as it wrapped itself around Calli and the place it traverses through was replaced with Calli's shinigami attire.

"I'm just a reaper passing through *GUH*."[Calli]

Seeing this, the KIng trembled profusely and fell down on his knees.

"Re...re...re...re...reape...pe...per?" [King of Elves]

'The king look defeated already...'[Edge]

The King used both his hands to support his weight as he races his thoughts in despair

"You must be one of the remnants I left alive, had you forgotten what I said that day?" [Calli]

The king recalls what Calli spoke that day, to never be heard or found by her, or the only result would be death.

"Come on, are you seriously going down without a fight?" [Calli]

The King stands back up with the fire in his left eye burning even brighter.

"Fight....I'll fight! But don't you dare touch my people, Most of them don't even know they are necromancers. Swear on it, and my life is all for your taking." [King Of Elves]

"I swear on my name that I will not harm your people, Now let's begin shall we?" [Calli]

"Wait!" [Edge]

Everyone looked at me, even Flare who has been stunned on the ground. I saw an opportunity, to prove myself to Calli.

"Calli, leave this to us"[Edge]

"Whut?" [Calli]

Calli looks at me bewildered.

"Give me a chance, we can do this." [Edge]

Calli looked at all of us and when her eye met Botan's, Botan closed her eyes and nodded at her. I can see the hesitation in her eyes as she looked at me who is determined that I could do this.

Noel pulled me aside and asked me with a small voice

"What the hell do you think you're proposing! You want us to fight something that can kill us 10 times over? Besides that, just look at Flare, she's not in a good shape to fight." [Noel]

Flare soiled herself while sitting on the floor and she hasn't seemed to have stabilized her emotions yet.

"I agree with your proposal." [Calli]

Calli threw her scythe on the ground and it deeply lodged into the ground. She then removed the toddler from her shoulder and placed her on the handle of the scythe as if she's hanging a cloth to dry. She then sits on the staff that is elevated from the ground as well and pulled out a teacup and a teapot from her dimensional pocket. She poured the tea into the teacup and place the teapot back into the dimensional pocket.

The aroma of the tea permeated my nose,

'It's a good tea, but I've never seen Calli drink tea, What's going on?' [Edge]

Calli took in a sip while and spoke candidly.

"Here's the new deal, If you can kill all of them I shall take my own life." [Calli]

"CALLI!" [Edge]

I panicked and walked towards her but she raised her hand signaling me to listen to her finish.

"RE..REALLY?" [King of Elves]

"What?!" [Noel]

"But if you get killed 4 times, you die for real. Besid- " [Calli]

"I accept anything as long as our previous agreement isn't nullified.' [King of Elves]

"Very well, I'll allow you to use up to 3 hydras and those that are lurking above and below of us." [Calli]

"Thanks for your magnanimous offer. I  Tua Shanz shall not disappoint you with your life as stake." [King of Elves]

I want to cry, I really want to say that I regret my decision, please take back those words, if only I were to know Calli would be that extreme. I looked at Calli with my tear filled eyes.

"Why would you do this? why do you trust me this much?" [Edge]

"Listen, you wanted to prove yourself, therefore I need to show my faith in you. So don't you dare make me regret this because your life is not your own ok." [Calli]

I wiped away my tears.

"Your right... I won't let you down, I promised that one day I can at least protect you when you're asleep right, Dad~." [Edge]

"And by the way don't call me dad." [Calli]

"Fine, can we make some plans first?" [Edge]
