MENTAL ILLNESS

"You look at me and cry; everything hurts. I hold you and whisper: but everything can heal." ― Rupi Kaur

No one can tell,
No one can feel
My anxiety, my traumatising past
The wounds that need to be healed.

Overthinking,
Blamed for everything as a Joke,
What they think is such a Shame
When they call me with stupid names.

Mental Illness not a jest,
My eyes without sleep,
Tired me and my brain,
Crying all night my pillow,
With my tears,
I'm emotionally drained.

Will break my silence
Because they won't see
When I am all alone,
Laying in the grass,
In the backyard, under the tree.

Today, let me express
Let me speak.
You're Selfish and rude,
These are my words,
I'm not weak.

I fight everyday With my thoughts,
You and your ignorance
I must say,
I will change this,
Now I'm on my way.
