Chapter 8

*James P.O.V*

It was silent as Sirius and I walked

I couldn't help but fidget with my hand, the hand that Lily didn't let go of the whole time we talked...I must be dreaming right ima wake up any bloody second from now Lily she...ugh...

"So Lily finally fell for you charms huh Prongsie"

"Don't call me that Pads! And I don't even know what happened first me and Estelle were getting to know each other and getting along then Lily came and wanted to talk like actually talk"

I looked up to Sirius who sighed and shook his head as if he was disappointed

Sirius started to mumble, "so much for the great love story Moony talked about for Merlins sake"

"What?" I couldn't understand what he said but he didn't even repeat it he just kept his eyes in front walking straight ahead as if something bad happened

"So James tell me exactly what happened I recall you said something weird happened"

"Um yeah Lily she- um"

Sirius rolled his eyes and smiled, "we'll come on now spit it out your wasting my precious time here prongs" Sirius's started pointing at his imaginary watch

I shook my head, "She was holding my hand the whole time we were talking and when I mentioned Estelle she made annoyed faces at me which I told her to stop doing"

At that moment Sirius stopped walking and smiled from ear to ear like if something magical happened which scared me....he better not say use Collins as a way to get Lily I already hurt her enough at this point and I could never do that too her...he finally looked at me and walked forward

"What exactly did you say about Little Collins mate"

"I just told Lily that I should head back to Estelle and told her what me and Estelle were talking about which out of topic how come you never mentioned how interesting Estelle is-"

...it literally was nothing bad that's what I don't get she's acting like she hates Estelle which how can she...

"Jealousy makes people mad when there in love James"

I stopped while Sirius kept smiling and walking ahead not caring if I was following him or not

...Love? N-no it can't be I mean wait this is not how I expect to react to hearing that Lily loves me this is...HOGSMEADE! bloody hell I forgot she asked me to hogsmeade for merlins sake what's going on...

*Back to Estelle's P.O.V*

I didn't notice I fell asleep until Emily Jumped on top of me yelling at me to get up

"Get. Off. ME!"

"NOPE! Let's go we have a date with Remus"

I shoved her off my bed but her falling off the bed didn't stop her she shot right back up like nothing happened and started dragging me off my bed I quickly grabbed the sides of the bed

"NO! Stop please! I don't wanna go you go!"

"Not happening Elle I can tell the whole Lily thing is bothering you but who cares we don't even have to go to hogsmeade on Satur-"

She quickly let go of my legs and covered her mouth, I got up slowly still trying to process what she said fully....then it clicked...there going on a date aren't they...

"Em. What do you mean by we don't have to go to hogsmeade, why wouldn't we"

She started looking around the room as if there was another person in the room

"Well you see you know how we're kinda invisible-"

"Cut the details"

"But details matter"

I death stared her but it's like my brain took control of my body I didn't realize I was so mad and for what it's James freaking Potter for godrics sake why did it matter

She sighed "okay okay look I over heard Lily and Mary talking and-"

I started laughing "you overheard or were you stalking Mary to see if she was with my dear old brother but it turned out it was just strawberry shortcake"

"I overheard! Look you want to know or not"

"Proceed"

"Thank you before you rudely interrupted I heard them talking and Lily said she asked James to hangout with her at hogsmeade this Saturday and he-"

"Said yes"

"Okay you really need to stop interrupting but yes he said yes"

I didn't know what to say all I knew was that Emily was enjoying herself watching my reaction...so I was right Lily did get jealous but this doesn't make sense he told me he was done chasing Lily....

*Flashback*

"James why are you asking me all these stupid questions" he smiled at me as he turned to face me

"Because we haven't had a conversation since third year"

I looked at him surprised, third year was the year he stopped talking to me even if it was only about class we still talked, him saying hi everyday, and acknowledging my existence

"Like I said I may not remember your name but I knew how you looked like plus you know you've changed since third year"

I smiled "I can say the same thing about you now I think it's my turn to ask questions don't you think?"

"Ah so you don't hate me anymore " he softly pushed my shoulder

"No I still hate you but It's not fair that only you get to ask questions"

"Well then what's the first question Collins"

"Why do you continue to chase after Lily even tho she shows absolutely no bloody interest"

He paused for a moment and then continued to walk

"I did continue to chase after her this year is the year"

"The year for what?"

He smiled, "the year I stop chasing after her"

I gave him a confused look, "James Potter giving up wow never thought that would happen"

"Aw come on it's getting kind of boring plus she's not the only girl out there"

He looked down at me as he said that last part I couldn't help but smile I quickly shook the smile off my face

"Lily Evans I will make you love me by Seventh year!" I impersonated his declaration of love to Lily from first year, we both started laughing

"I was a bit dramatic"

"A tad bit but if you truly believe you love someone then I say do what ever it takes to get them even if it's dramatic" he just smiled at me while I said that it was quite for a little but it wasn't awkward

"Well what's your next question".....

*End of Flashback*

I stood there letting my mind take over I didn't even notice Remus entering the room...why am I so bothered by this I didn't care before why start now... as I snapped back to reality we started heading out to are date aka the library so we can study and nobody said a word until Sirius came in smiling
