Chapter Nine

I woke up in a white room, guards standing around me.

"Tris? Oh my god, Rick MOVE!" a voice said

The guards moved over to the other wall, revealing Matthew standing at the cell door.

"Matthew!" I yelled as I ran to him.

Guards held me back. I struggled to get to him.

"Let her go and let me in." Matthew said

The guards let me go and opened the cell door.

"Matthew!" I said

"What have you done?" Matthew said

I looked down at my feet. I started to cry. I looked up at Matthew.

"You okay?" he asked

"They killed Tobias." I said with more tears

Matthew hugged me.

"I'm sorry Tris. I didn't know. Come on. I'm getting you out of here."

Matthew lead me outside. Amar was in his truck. Amar rushed to us.

"Tris! Oh my god! I thought you were dead!" Amar said hugging me

"What is going on?" I asked

"Come." Amar lead me to the truck

When we got to the side of the truck. I heard someone mumbling. I couldn't figure out the voice. I turned to the back of the truck.

"TOBIAS!" I yelled. He looked over his shoulder

"TRIS!" he yelled back.

I ran toward him and jumped on him.

"They told me they killed you." I said

"That's what they told me." he said. I fitted my lips to his.

"Hey lovebirds." Amar said "Time to go before you really die."

We smiled at each other. We climbed into the truck. I laid on Tobias' shoulder.

"Just so you know, Chicago went to war after you left." Amar said
