The Skeleton

Gippy wrote something down in her notepad and everyone started panicking. Suddenly, the lights went off and you heard everyone yelling. You heard Joseph yell, "Panicking!" You heard a high pitched voice yell, "I don't wanna die!" Then you heard Michelle's voice say, "Nobody's gonna kill you, Kitty."

You heard Jess yell, "I'm too cute to die!" You heard Jess's dog bark multiple times, until Gippy silenced everyone by yelling, "Everyone! Will you please calm down? Panicking won't help anybody in this situation." A loud deep voice said, "I am The Skeleton, and you all were specifically invited here for one reason. That reason, is revenge for all of the bad things you have done in life. Eventually, I will kill you all off one by one and then you will all be dead."

The lights came back on and everyone looked at each other panicked. Gippy put her notepad back in her pocket and said, "Alright, everyone. Clear the room. Me, Y/N, Gon, and Killua have to do some investigating." Everyone left the room except for you and your group. Gon walked up to you and said, "Hey Y/N! What are we gonna look for?" Gippy walked up to you and Gon and said, "Clues. The contraption must have been activated somehow."

Killua looked underneath the table and said, "Y/N, come take a look at this." You walked over to him and Killua was looking at a button under the table. Gippy took her notepad out of her pocket and asked, "What is it?" You looked up at her and said, "It's a button. Is it okay if I press it?" Gippy shrugged her shoulders and said, "Go ahead. It could help lead us to the killer. Wait! Wear your sleeve over your hand when you press it, just in case we need fingerprints."

You nodded and did as she said. Suddenly, the lights went out and the speech was made again and the lights came back on. Gippy scribbled something down in her notepad and said, "So, the killer pressed this button to drop the anvil and activate the speech. Nice to know." Gon looked underneath the other side of the table and said, "Guys, there's one here too."

You tilted your head to the side and asked, "Wait, two buttons? It probably does the same thing. Do you guys remember who was sitting here?" Gippy nodded and said, "Yeah, Chad and Jess." Killua put his hands behind his head and asked, "Isn't Jess that girl with the dog?"

You nodded and said, "Yeah, so we'll interrogate the both of them and then check for fingerprints to see if it matches up." You walked over and opened up the door. You explained to everyone what was happening and you pulled Chad into a separate room to talk privately to him. Killua was standing against a wall to make sure Chad wouldn't kill you.

You sat down on a sofa and Chad sat down on a chair in front of you. You smiled and said, "So Chad, where are you from?" Chad thought to himself for a second and said, "From the ocean, dudette. I come from Mother Nature, and everything that has to do about it." You raised an eyebrow and said, "Um, okay? What do you know about engineering?" Chad shook his head and said, "Bruh, I don't know anything about that smart stuff. I only surf and drink Pina Coladas. Sorry."

You nodded and said, "No need to apologize, Chad. Now I'm gonna ask you straight up, did you kill Peyton and Spike?" Chad shook his head and said, "No way. Peyton was a total babe. I wouldn't kill her even if I was paid to." You nodded and said, "Okay, you're free to leave."

Chad left and Jess came in the room and sat down in front of you. Jess rubbed Bark's head and you said, "Hello, Jess. Where are you from?" Jess smiled and said, "Hi, Y/N! This may be hard to believe, but I actually came Meteor City." You raised an eyebrow and asked, "Meteor City? Like that city where it's full of junk and like nobody lives there?"

Jess nodded and said, "Yes ma'am! I left and found Bark and now I live a way better life." You licked your teeth and asked, "What do you know about traps and stuff like that?" Jess kissed Bark on the head and said, "To be honest, I don't really know anything about it. I know one or two things but my work is sloppy."
