Leading us through the halls of the facility. Sage and Dr. Crawford walked ahead of us, two other doctors walked behind us, and Teresa walked on my left.

I still felt unsure about everything, what other tests could they possibly need done? I mean, we basically just met these people and now we're following them around like lost Gladers? All of it seemed just too surreal to me, and I'm beginning to question Teresa's trust in these people.

But Teresa is my sister, the only family that I have left. I feel as though it would be wrong to not trust her, I feel as though I would be betraying her. But I still can't understand how she grew to trust these people so easily, at least that's what it seems like, and it bothers me a lot. However, I didn't want to let her down. Whatever tests she would be going through, I would be going through as well, and I didn't want to leave her alone. We're sisters, after all.

As we turn down another hall, my head perks up at the sudden noisiness from farther down. Were these the others that Sage had mentioned? Were the Gladers with them?

Now being further down the hall, I notice two large windows looking into another room. The noises were louder now and they sounded like voices, people laughing. Maybe it is the others.

"Please, face forward." A doctor from behind me says, and I glance back at her confused. The two doctors behind us haven't said a word to Teresa and I, but now they're suddenly telling me to "face forward"? Whatever was in that noise-filled room, they didn't want us seeing.

Even though I was confused by the sudden demand, I was also slightly embarrassed. No one around me had seem interested in the sudden noisiness, not even Teresa. And so I chose to oblige and face forward, keeping my curiosity in my thoughts.

Approaching the windows, I focused on keeping my head straight and not letting my curiosity get the best of me. But I still listened, trying to hear any familiar voices.

"Teresa!" A faint, but familiar voice yells, and I almost stop in my tracks. "Y/n! Teresa!" The faint voice yells again, and I finally recognize the voice as Thomas.

I desperately wanted to look, to see if Newt or any of the other Gladers were by Thomas' side. But I didn't want to risk another encounter with the nurse behind me, suddenly thinking about the consequences for not following their orders.

Then suddenly from the corner of my eye, Teresa turns her head to steal a glance at Thomas. "Please, face forward." The same nurse from earlier demands, and I smirk to myself at the tone of her voice. She clearly isn't that fond of Teresa and I, or just people who don't listen.

We walked through a couple more hallways, all of them looking the same and as boring as ever. Until, we suddenly turn a corner to see a hallway filled with doors.

"Right in here." Dr. Crawford points out the first door on the right, Sage opening it for us. I glance at Teresa when I notice she hasn't moved yet, and maybe she was finally starting to question her own trust in these people.

"Go on, we don't have all day!" Dr. Crawford needled, and I went ahead and walked in, Teresa following behind me. The small room was similar to my checkup space, except there are actual walls and no curtains, except for the one separating two beds. The beds lay on one side of the room near a large window, the rest of it held an assortment of advanced medical equipment.

"This is where our tests will be done?" Teresa asks, and Sage responds with, "Obviously! So, go ahead and make yourselves comfortable, we need to start setting up."

Teresa moves to take the bed closest to the window. A great escape plan, I thought.

"It is, but I doubt we'll get far." Teresa says through our connection, and I move to sit on the other bed, watching the doctors move throughout the room.
