Two days later, nearing the Mountains.

Phoenix yawned, feeling tired. It's been two days since the incident with Ghost. Merf was asleep on a rock. They were in the ice region, yes, but they still had some ways to go before they reached the mountains peak. She yawned once more, looking at the sky. The clouds were littering the sky with tiny shimmering snowflakes. They melted when they touched Phoenix's elemental scales.

Her scales were radiating heat, and they could be used for elemental weapons. Phoenix herself had taken some of her scales to make two daggers. They're very powerful, enough to kill a dragon (Or hunter) in an instant. This is the reason the school is after her. They just want her for her scales, dead or alive. Phoenix, of course, didn't know this, but will discover it later on.

Merf was waking up, her scales covered in snow. She had once said to Phoenix that she couldn't stand the heat, but loved the cold. She said heat was her weakness and that she could die in it. Now, for Phoenix, she loved the heat, and couldn't be in any liquids or colds for too long. She'll lose energy quickly and will eventually die.

"Good morning, Phoenix." Merf yawned, blinking several times before standing up. "Morning, Zodiac." Phoenix said, looking at Merf. Zodiac was the nickname Phoenix had given Merf. She said Merf looked like a zodiac sign, so she said it would be easier to remember. Merf smiled, looking at the huge mountains in the distance. "Soon, we'll be able to live without fear of the schools finding us!" she exclaimed, getting up, and yawning once more. "Yeah." Phoenix shivered. It was a bit cold for her. Yet, they had a fire near them. They were resting in a large cave with icicles at the entrance. "I'm going to look for some food, stay here, out of trouble." Merf said, starting to walk out of the cave. "Alright, stay safe, Zodiac..."
