Merf looked at the scene, skidding to a stop. She saw Phoenix and the dragon she had supposedly killed at the mountain. She growled, her ears perking up to the talking they were doing.

"What's it to you!" Phoenix yelled, backing up. They were in a clearing of the forest. Merf watched as the bigger dragon was coming closer, saying, "Come on back, Phoenix." Phoenix growled, pulling out two daggers. They were glowing a red-orange color. They had a flame effect, and a white handle on each of them. Merf watched as Phoenix leaped forward to attempt the stab of the bigger dragon. She growled, barely missing. The big dragon was swift, even though he was big. "Quicksilver, I don't wish to come back!" she thundered, digging her back claws into the soil. "I ain't asking!" Quicksilver roared, lashing his tail at Phoenix. At this point Merf decided to join the fight. She growled, blasting Quicksilver's tail. He growled at Merf, shooting a menacing, dark glare at her. "I thought I killed you at the mountain!" she yelled, her tail swaying rapidly. "That wasn't me!" he laughed. "That was a clone.." He smiled, lashing his tail again, missing them both, but crushing a boulder. Merf knew this dragon had strength. He was big, and fast. That would be a problem if they were to defeat him. She growled, irritated at the thought.

As soon as Merf looked up, she saw Phoenix digging her tail into Quicksilver's paw. He was roaring in pain. Merf saw this as a chance. She blasted her fire, skimming scales off Quicksilver's face. She smiled, sitting down as she saw Quicksilver retreating. "Took ya long enough." Phoenix said, laughing. "Yea, but did he hurt you?" Merf asked, looking at Phoenix. "I mean no, but I do feel tired. Where do we go now?" Phoenix asked, her blue eyes glinting in the rising sun. "I'm not sure." Merf said. Phoenix sat there, looking at her paws. Suddenly she lifted her head, smiling. "What?" Merf asked, her shoulders stiffening.

"We can go to the beach! There's a volcano there, and it'll help me get my energy up!" Phoenix exclaimed, smiling. "Alright, we can go there. Good thing It's not far. We can run there." Merf said, agreeing to the statement. "What are we waiting for then? Lets go!" Phoenix ran off, Merf at her side.
