~CHAPTER TWO~

Settling in is hard. Especially when you don't like where you're at now. The change in location has made it so hard to sleep on time because of the time change. Around 5:30 am i wake up and can't physically fall back asleep so i decide to grab my phone and scroll through tiktok until 8 am when my family starts to wake up and inevitably want me downstairs.

When i hear them start waking up i decide i should get dressed. I throw on a simple and lazy outfit to head downstairs only to be told to go get dressed again because we're going to the school to get us enrolled. I walk back upstairs, extremely annoyed, and dress myself in skinny jeans and a graphic tshirt with my checkered vans and a few simple chains.

When we get there i scan the halls. Popular girls, popular guys, emo kids, cat boys and girls, nerds, etc. The nerds naturally caught my attention, probably because of the fact that there was a literal tree standing among them. He really caught my attention and i couldn't take my eyes away. He looked about 6'5, had fluffy blonde hair, bluefish green eyes, tall with huge hands, a cute smile with dimples on each cheek, roundish glasses that made his eyes look slightly bigger than they actually look.

He was gorgeous in ways i couldn't describe. I knew i had to become friends with him. He'll be my best friend one day i swear to god. I snapped back into reality when my mother was introducing me to the principle and the lady at the front desk. "This is (y/n), (y/n) this is Ms. Parker" My mother says expecting me to shake her hand. I do of course for respect reasons and i smile "we were wondering when the soonest time we could get (y/n) enrolled and started here" my mother continued.

I zoned out and ignored the rest of the conversation until we walked out again and i saw the tall boy again. This time he looked at me curiously and smiled while doing a quick awkward wave to which i smiled and waved back nervously.

I start in two days. I have two days to wait before i can see him again. I shouldn't crush so soon but man was he cute. The way he awkwardly waved at me made me flutter in a weird nervous way. I hadn't even caught his name. I bet it's something cute. I fell asleep that night scrolling through Instagram and watching satisfying videos while trying to stop thinking about him.

I woke up that morning to my mother banging on my door telling me we apparently had to go clothes shopping which was lovely. I packed clothes so why do I need more? I rolled out of bed and tossed on something simple and cute that leaned more towards masculine today because I felt more like it. We went to the mall, multiple thrift stores, then got lunch and Starbucks before heading home to where I unpacked too many bags and put them all away in my new closet and dresser.

After school got out for the day my mother decided I should go to the park and try to make friends wooo. I laid on a bench with my headphones in listening to (f/b) with my eyes closed and suddenly the sun disappeared and i open my eyes to see him towering over me scaring the absolute hell out of me. I swear I would've screamed if I wasn't already half asleep. He smiled at me and said something but I couldn't hear him because my headphones were in. I pluck one out and ask him to repeat it confused out of my mind. "You're that one kid i saw yesterday" he says laughing.

"Yeah" I say with an awkward laugh and i sit up. He sits next to me and smiles again while putting his big ass hand out. "I'm Robert. My friends call me Bo though" he says awkwardly. I smile and try to hide my thoughts. ROBERT. HIS NAME IS ROBERT. "That's a strange name for a teenager. I always imagine Robert as an old person name. I'm (y/n) by the way" I say hoping he takes my comment the way I intend it. He laughs in response. "Did you just move here? I've never seen you before." He says nervously. "Oh yeah. I moved from (h/t) a few days ago and start school tomorrow" I say in response hoping he doesn't ask me why we moved.

He did.
