Chapter 12: The Kiss

Author note: This chapter is just woah. Things will happen for some who want it to, and for those who dont, oh well sue me XD

Dipper walked off a bit mad. He jumped when he felt a hand on his shoulder. "Pinetree don't go." It was Bill. "I don't want to talk to you." Dipper said not turning around. "Look, I-I know I messed up but I'm only human right?" Bill tried to joke. Dipper was unamused. Bill sat him down against the wall. Dipper whirled on him. "What the heck man! You knew that I liked Wendy, but yet you go trying to flirt with her? I thought you liked me with her."

"I know, I know, but that's not what I was doing. I was trying to ask her about you to get the romance flowing and you walked in at a bad time. I know I'm evil, but I wouldn't do that to you unless I really wanted it to." Bill explained. Dipper looked up at him. "You were? I mean trying to get her to like me?" He asked. "Well yeah." Bill answered. "Oh. I-I'm sorry I snapped at you. I just wanted a chance and I took it the wrong way." Dipper apologized.

"It's fine. The truth is, I annoy you because i like you. Sure we don't get along, and soon we'll go right back to hating each other, but being here has taught me some things. I know what love is now, and I've known it all along." Bill then did something that shocked them both. He kissed Dipper. It was just a kiss on the cheek but the moment was there. Dipper was quiet, and he felt the same feelings he had when the two of them were in the pit. He then kissed Bill back, but it was a normal kiss.

The two of them sat in silence for who knows how long. "Let's pretend that never happened. It's not like we could, you know." Bill said. "Yeah." Dipper replied. "Anyways, I don't want to be in your way. Go for Wendy Pinetree. I'm still rooting for you and she's still waiting. Go just be yourself." Bill smiled. Dipper smiled back. "You know what Bill? I think I will." He stood up and started to walk back to Wendy. "Thanks for this Bill. I guess I can call us friends now?" Dipper said over his shoulder. "Don't get used to it." Bill answered watching him go.
