Intersecting Lines
In the serene breeze
of the calm winds,
where we once shared
memories together.
Thoughts of you started to play
in continuous loops.
Back when I first thought
I already found my midnight,
My peace and comfort
amidst the bustling daytime.
But, fate was a master at
playing games that
the drums of your heartbeat,
my name, the sound once it echoes,
now found the outro of its own--
the tempo suddenly slowed down...
and abruptly, I heard
no audible sound.I do not know
what went wrong
or if I said something
that made you turn your back
and walk away from my side.
All I know is that
we woke up one day
in same days, but in a different year,
Our fingers which perfectly fit each other,
now found each other foreign.
I have no idea at all,
clueless was I
But I think it was maybe because
we were just two intersecting lines,
Our paths were destined to cross
at one point in time.
Just for us to take two different routes,
and never meet again
no matter how many times we want
to give it another try.
