It's been a month since the accident. Maddison is back up on her feet and it's her first day back on shift. She walks into the firehouse and no one is there
"Guys?" Maddison shouts as she makes her way to the common room
When she reaches the common room she can see a banner that says "Welcome back Luca" and then they all pop out and shout surprise.
"Ahh! Oh my gosh!" Maddison says smiling
Dawson runs up to her and hugs her
"I'm so glad your back!" Dawson says enthusiastically
"Ambulance 61, Girl down from unknown causes" The intercom echoes throughout the firehouse
"Guess we'll have to cut this short" Maddison says before they run out
They arrive on scene to discover a little girl lying on the side of the road
"She just dropped" The girls mother shouts
"It's okay we've got her" Maddison says as she kneels down next to the girl
Maddison checks her vitals and Dawson gives her a look
"We need to get her in" Dawson adds
They load the girl into the back of the ambulance and Dawson hops in front. She starts driving and Maddison is in the back with the girl.
"What's our ETA?" Maddison shouts keeping an eye on the monitor
"Less than 2 minutes" Dawson replies
"I've not got 2 minuets! I need to drain the blood from her heart" Maddison shouts as she grabs a needle
"It's 2 minutes! You can't!" Dawson shouts
"Pull over the god damn rig!" Maddison shouts as Dawson stops and turns around
Maddison carefully inserts the needle into the young girls chest. The monitor then starts beeping rapidly
"What did you do?" Dawson says panicking
"I hit her heart. Don't panic" Maddison says calmly
Maddison carefully backs out the needle and gets a steady rhythm back
"Drive!" Maddison shouts as Dawson steps on it
They arrive at lakeshore and the doctors greet them
"10 year old female had blood in her heart. I preformed an incision to extract the blood but hit her heart on the way. I pulled it out safely and carefully" Maddison explains
"Let's hope you've not killed her!" The rude doctor shouts as they take the girl away
"Hey you did everything you could to save her" Dawson says as she smiles
"Yeah" Maddison says with tears in her eyes
They arrive back at the firehouse and are sitting for lunch. Maddison is sat next to Kelly when Boden bursts in
"Luca!!! Why the hell did you put a needle in a girls heart?" Boden shouts
