Meredith helped Derek pick up everything from the ground and then Derek lead them back to his limo. He opened the car door for both him and Meredith and took her hand into his.
"Mavin can you please take us the Jades ice cream, the store thats close to my house." Derek asked
"Of course Mr. Shepherd i will take you there right now" his driver replied
Marvin turned on the radio the radio and the song "conversations in the dark came on" by john legend came on
Meredith began to sing along and then Derek joined in.

"I think that just became one of our songs" Derek laughed
"Yeah I think so too" Meredith replied
When they finally got to Derek penthouse he helped Meredith out of the car and up the steps.
They walked into the elevator and as another male walked into the elevator the same time as them.
Derek quickly put his arm around her waist and held her close making sure he knew she wasn't up for grabs but then it occurred to him that in reality she wasn't his.
Not his yet as he hoped when he asks her she will say yes. So he loosened his grab on her.
"Im Paul whats your name" the man in the elevator said
"Meredith" she repiled
"So do you live here Meredith" he asked
Derek quickly cut him off
"Shes with me" he replied
"I wasn't talking to you was I, I was talking to the lady next to you" Paul replied
"How about you leave her the fuck alone" Derek replied getting mad. He always had a temper
Paul got close to his face "How about you leave us the fuck alone."
Meredith never knew Derek to be like this so she took his hand and tried to calm hime down.
"Der look at me its ok im not interested in him im interested in you calm down" Meredith said grabbing his face.
Derek instinly calmed down and the elevator rang signling that they were at his level. Derek quickly grabbed her hand and got her out of the elevator.
"Im sorry" he said
"Derek what happened back there?" she asked
"I was dating someone, before you for around 4 years. I was getting ready to pop the question when she packed her things and left with someone whom she just met. It destroyed me because the man was a mutual work friends as well.
Thinking of you going with him gave those feeling back. Something I don't want to experience again. I want you to be mine Mer, so will you be my girlfriend?" He pleaded
"Derek I would love to be you girlfriend. I don't date so please can we take this slow?" she asked
"Darling, as long as i'm with you how fast we go doesn't matter to me. " He replied Kissing her lips and opening the room to his penthouse.
