• Chapter 13 •

Todoroki's POV

Y/n's birthday has finally arrived.. all of her friends and I were waiting in a room full of beautiful decorations.

"Mina and the others did a great job with the decor," Tsuyu said.

"Thanks, Tsu!" Mina exclaimed.

"How long did it take for you guys to get everything ready?" Midoriya asked.

"About a few hours, but it was worth it!" Kirishima said.

"Sooo, Todoroki.. are you planning to confess to her or something?" Mina asked. She had her finger under her chin while smirking.

"E-erm.." I stammered. "I don't think she loves me so.."

"Wait- Todoroki confessing what?! What's happening here?!" Katsuki yelled viciously.

"Oh, no.." I said quietly. "erm.. well, I—"

"Erm, well.. Todoroki is in love with.. your sister," Uraraka said.

"You're kidding, right, Icyhot?!" he yelled.

"N-no.. I really love your sister.." I answered.

"..Ugh, what a great day to hear that on my sister's birthday," he said.

"Come on, Katsuki! Todoroki loves your sister, and you may never know if Todoroki would be less irritating to you!" Kirishima said.

"I'm never making you two fall in love together! Never!" he screamed.

"Why don't you want me to be with your sister..?" I asked.

"I don't want you to hurt or date her. You'd be absolutely annoying to be living with," Katsuki said.

"Todoroki is one of the most gentle people I know! Plus, he'd never hurt y/n," Sero said.

"..I'm still not accepting it!" he yelled. "I'd rather do anything else than see Icyhot date my sister!"

"Please, I promise that I'd be protective and nice to your sister... and you," I said.

"Yeah, sure," he said sarcastically. "Like you'd ever be nice to me.."

"Aren't you the one that's always mean to him?" Kaminari asked.

"Whatever, I will never make you two date. And that's final!" Katsuki said as he pointed at me.

"I'll do anything to be together with your sister, please—"I said.

"..Ugh, fine.. only on one condition..." he said.

"And what would that be?" I asked.

"..you don't be irritating and not get y/n hurt, even if it's a small scratch," he said.

"Deal," I said. "Now, can I date your sister?"

"...Ugh, fine, whatever," he said and rolled his eyes.

I smiled and shook hands with him.

"Does this mean you'll stop being annoying and obnoxious?" I asked.

"..I'll try, but don't quote me on that," he replied.

A few hours later..

We were all having fun and celebrated y/n's birthday together, everyone was very happy.

"All right! It's time for the [cake flavor] cake!" Mina exclaimed. She lit the candles with a lighter.

"CAKE!" Kaminari said excitingly. He was pretty happy that it was time to eat the cake.

While everyone else was signing Happy Birthday to y/n, Katsuki and I had a short conversation.

"I know it'll be pretty weird for you to date my sister, but I hope I get used to it.." he said.

"I'm glad you accepted my love for her," I said with a smirk.

"Yeah, whatever," he chuckled. "It doesn't mean I'll stop hating you."

After they finished singing, it was time for y/n to make a wish.

"Okay, birthday girl, time for you to blow the candles and make a wish!" Mina exclaimed happily.

"All right," y/n replied. She closed her eyes and made a wish. She blew the candles on the birthday cake and everyone celebrated.

"Time for the presents! Let's go, guys!" Kirishima said.

Y/n opened up everyone's presents, she was very happy and thankful. The last present she opened was mine..

"Time for the last gift! It's from Todoroki-kun!" Midoriya said.

"Open it, y/n!" Uraraka said. "I bet you'll love it!"

She smiled broadly and opened the box, revealing a beautiful, diamond ring.

"..I love it," she said almost started to tear up.

I kneeled down and got the ring. I placed it onto her finger and saw her beautiful smile on her face.

Y/n's POV

After a while, it finally turned midnight. Everyone passed out and fell asleep, except for me and Todoroki-kun.

"Hey.. Todoroki-kun..?" I said.

"Yeah..?" he asked.

"Do you want to go outside on the balcony and watch the stars?" I asked.

"Yeah, sure," he said.

We both went outside and watched the stars together while we were talking.

"So.. what did you wish for when you blew the candles?" he asked.

"It's a secret!" I chuckled.

"Come on, you can tell me," he laughed.

"Okay, well..." I said.

"..I wished for you and me to be together forever and never forget each other," I exclaimed.

"..I'll never leave you, even if you didn't wish for that," he said.

"Then I'm glad that you'll never leave me, because I won't either," I said.

I looked up in the sky and admired the beautiful, bright stars. Suddenly, a shooting star appeared,

"..Oh, look! Up in the sky! There's a shooting star!" I exclaimed happily. "What do you wish for, Todoroki-kun?"

"You want me to wish for something..?" he asked.

"Yeah! You can wish for anything!" I exclaimed.

"All right, well..."

"..I wish to marry you someday, y/n," he replied.

My face instantly turned red. I couldn't think of anything to say..

"..but, my wish probably won't come true since you don't love me back, but it's okay," he said. "I'm fine just being friends with you and—"

I leaned toward him and kissed him. He seemed to look confused, but was still happy.

"I only said those things to hide my feelings, what I said wasn't true at all..." I admitted.

"..then I'm glad that you love me back," he said.

"I love you, Todoroki-kun.." I said as I leaned into his shoulder.

"I love you, too, y/n.." he replied.
