The Dark Figure

Will: Mom, are you sure?

Joyce: mhm *glares at Hopper*

Hopper sounding worried: Are you sure, Joyce..? 

Joyce doesn't respond and nods head to the bedroom door: Can I have a word with you please?

Hopper: Yes

walks into bedroom

Hopper: What's up?

Joyce: What if Lonnie's back? I saw something weird outside. Like a weird figure just standing there with a bat and alcohol bottle.

Hopper: Are you sure? And your not just being paranoid.. right?

Joyce: Jim I know what I saw. I'm scared. I'm scared for my life. I'm scared for you and the kids..

Hopper: * Cups her chin* I'll go check it out okay? *Walks out of bedroom*

Joyce: No! Don't risk it *frowns*

Hopper: I'm a cop I have a weapon in my car, okay?

Joyce: What if it's unsafe before you get to your car?

*Hopper kisses her* I'll be fine

a  few mins later

I didn't see anyone out there. Just get some rest it's getting late anyway

Joyce: Okay... can you just lay with me please

Hopper: Yeah, ofcourse. Goodnight El and Will. Lock your door

Both: Um ok..? Goodnight *enters bedroom*

joyce falls asleep in Hopper's arms goes to sleep

4 am

*glass shatters and both Jim andJoyce jump, being frightened* 

Hopper: Go to the kids room, calm down and breathe.. I'll be back.. *takes gū🥴n out of nightstand and holds it tightly making sure it's armed. Unlocks bedroom door slowly and quietly and exits the room*

Hopper shields joyce and she quietly scurries to the kid's bedroom*

Joyce: We need to stay quiet. 

Lonnie: Over here *swings bat and misses*

Hopper slams Lonnie into the wall and punching him and hitting him in the head with the bat*

Lonnie gets back up groaning and punching Hopper 

Joyce comes out of the kid's bedroom and kicks Lonnie in the back causing his head to collage with the coffee table*

Joyce: You obnoxious bastard! *Joyce runs towards Hopper hugging him and kissing him deeply.

Hopper calls his policemen and have Lonnie arrested.

And they were all happily unbothered. Except joyce.. she was paranoid but she knew she was safe with the love of her life.
