The fate within us.

A trip to diagon alley

August 20 1991
Today grandmother is to take me to Diagon Alley to buy my materials for school. The first term begins September 1st. We left just enough time for us to prepare. Papa couldn't come with us today. I wish he could have. "Ayumi are you ready to go?" Asks grandmother "Yes ma'am." I respond, "I am." Grandmother explains that we will be using the floo powder! Very rarely we use floo powder. So excitedly I grab a handful. "Remember speak very clearly of where you wish to go." Grandmother states. "Diagon Alley!" I say. As I step out of the fire place I look around. I turn to see grandmother coming out from the fire place. "It brought us to the bookshop grandmother." I state. "Perfect we will get your books first then we will get the rest. Alright?" Says grandmother. I simply nod my head. As I look around for the last book that I need I see a boy who seems to be around my age he has shaggy brown hair. He turns and sees me looking awkwardly he walks over. "I'm sorry but could you help me find this book?" He says showing me his list of materials

"Yeah i can! follow me it's over here."

"Are you also going to hogwarts?" He asks

"I am. Im a first year this year." I say, "My name is Ayumi Sakura nice to meet you!"

"My name is Harry, Harry Potter."

"Well Harry," I say "It was great to meet you but I have to keep looking for my materials. I'll see you on the train! Goodbye Harry."

"Goodbye Ayumi." He replies as I walk away

He seemed kinda of odd almost as if he has never come to Diagon alley? His name sounds familiar im not sure why but I have a feeling that I've heard it before or at-least his last name.
~time skip~
Many of my materials have been bought all that is missing is my wand. I stand in front of  ollivander wands. The door bell chimes as i walk in. Behind the desk pops up a man.
"Welcome are you here for your first wand?" He asks
"Yes sir i am" I answer he looks at me squinting
"Ayumi Snape, I remember your parents it feels like just yesterday they were here as well for their first wands." He says as he turns around to get a wand
"Try this one out." He hands me the wand immediately it shoots out of control quickly I set it down "Mmm.." he says, "What about this one?" He says as he hands me another one. As soon as I held the wand it felt right. This was my wand. Smiling he says "A 10 inch rosewood with a dragon heartstring core. Quite powerful." He quickly tells me how to care for it. Smiling I pay for my wand and walk out the shop towards my grandmother. Once I reach her I notice she's holding something that appears to be a cage. "Grandmother may i ask what are you holding?" I say curiously "It's an owl. I bought it for you to take with you so you don't have to use the schools or your fathers." She answers. I quickly thank her as we start walking back to the book shops fireplace to make our way home.
~at home~
Excitedly I step out of our fireplace. I look around the room and see papa standing at the door way. "Papa! Look!" I yell excitedly as I show him my wand and owl. He has a small smile across his face. "Let's go put them away in your bedroom to keep them safe." He says. I nod. As exciting as today has been I can't wait until the first day of school!

I don't really have a fixed schedule for when I'll add to the story it's kinda more of a like I'll add when I have inspiration type of thing. Anyways thank you for reading this chapter:)
