I still remember the first time we met
You were nervous and I was scared
What if you are not there? Went in my head
It's alright, I'll understand, if you are not there
behind that gate.
It took me few moments, to see you there
Popping your head, smiling, there you were
My heart just did a cartwheel trust me
When I saw you love, for the first time in front of me
We walked side by side, fidgety and shy
You kept looking away, and I smiled
It was so awkward I know, but tell me wasn't it good?
I remember the first time, you came close to me
Sat beside me, and kissed my cheeks
I blushed and turned red and you saw it all
Let me tell you love, I've never let anyone
do that ever before
I remember the first time, you shared your thoughts with me.
You were comfy and I was happy
What more could I want than you to trust me.
And I did too, shared everything hidden in me
Remember the first time you took care of me
I was crying and you were beside me
You made sure I was okay, you said you loved me
That was the first time love, I showed you
How weak, scared and vulnerable I could be
For the first time, after so many years
I was happy, because you were with me
I remember every thing and I'll remember them always.
As much as it all hurts right now
Someday I'll be able to let go of them, or atleast I can pretend
For the first time, right now, we both are hurting
alone
You are not here, nor am I there
You, me beside each other, not anymore
You'll be someone's first time again, maybe I'll be too
