chapter 9

Josh's POV

A smile graced my lips when I saw how happy and suprised Alicia was about the gifts, though it was a small gesture it was definitely worth it.

"So what are you guys up to" Alicia asked

"Well right now nothing, think we'll head home now what do you say Josh" Millie says unsure, I was about to reply when Alicia cuts in

"Why don't I give you a tour of the company?"

"Yes yes yes, please Josh" Millie says excitedly using her big doddly eyes to pursuade me into it

"As if I can ever say no to you, we would love a tour Alicia" I saw answering both their questions

Nodding we follow her lead as she shows us around the office, the tour took about an hour and half because we paused for Millie to get a drink also the building had 30 floors. As we toured I noticed how people showed Alicia so must respect but at the same time she was dominating or arrogant, yes she carries herself with composure but never in a way to make others feel less about themselves. Such humility is hard to find now especially from those who have money or wealth.

"Last but not least this is my floor, as you can see there aren't much people here, I prefer it quite" she concludes turning around to smile at us

"Wow you are so accomplished, you literally have it all yet you are so nice, you definitely are a role model and my inspiration" Millie said smiling back at her, at the corner i saw a man walk up to us

"Ms Alicia, is everything ok" he asked with curiosity in his eyes

"Yes Matt everything is alright I was just showing them around, Josh, Millie this is Matt my assistant/secretary, Matt this is Josh my boyfriend and his little sister Millie I believe you remember her from earlier" she smirked after the introduction, I didn't expect her to be so open about our relationship

"Nice to meet you both" he said shaking both mine and Millie's hand

"If Everything is ok here I'll get back to my work, ohh your brother called he flew out of the country he said call him for more details" nodding at us he walked away

Alicia POV

We all watched Matt walk away it was kinda funny seeing both men's facial expressions when I introduced Josh as my boyfriend, I mean what's the use of hidding it when he brought me flowers and chocolate I have fully accepted this so he should too.

"Ohh there was also a reason I brought you here any don't we go to my office" I say before leading them into my office, I took a sit and they did so too

"So it's mainly about you Millie, see before all this my family was just like yours it was always my dad's dream to have this company, yes I was into business and economics and politcal science in school I always thought my dad would be the head unfortunately he passed away bless his soul..... The main reason I started this company was because of my best friend I really don't want to make you sad but just like yours I found her dead she drowned herself in the tub" I heard a gasp which obviously was from Millie while Josh had an unreadable expression on his face

"Just like your brother mine helped me through my pain although all this happened about 10 years ago my point is I totally understand what you are doing through yes I run a company but I also run a foundation I named it after my best friend Uriel, we basically deal with those traumatized after the death of a loves one mainly focusing on friends, and also teenagers who have sucuidal  thoughts, I know we can't help everyone but we try. After you told me your story I immediately thought why not talk to Millie she is a teenager the kids will relates more with you than they ever will with someone older...."

"I know I'm crossing boundaries here and for all I know you might hate my but I feel like this might be something to help you feel and to help you feel others, so it's up to you if you would like to be a part of this I would be more than happy to introduce you to them" I finished feeling very nervous, the was a huge silence that hung over us which wasn't helping my nerves at all

"You really think I'm suitable for this I'm a normal person very childish how can I help others" she says crying, I quickly stood up and walked to her

"Millie what you think of yourself isn't true I can see it and I barely know you, listen to me you are a very strong young lady I for one know first hand how you feel but I can see you are still going strong you aren't allowing what happened bring you down, you still smile even make others laugh, if that isn't something special then I don't know what special means. Your brother can see what a wonderful person you are so allow yourself see it too I know you can do this" I said holding her hand while wiping away her tears

"I can't believe you said all that thank you Alicia" she said before hugging me tightly, looking up I met Josh's eyes he was starring at us but he wasn't with us

"I would love to be a part of this, we can definitely work around my schedule" she finally said

"Glad to have you on the team love" I say causing her to giggle

"May I please use your washroom"

"Of course, second door on the left" I said nodding she stood up and left, once she did I walk over to Josh sitting on his lap

"Hey what's wrong" I ask quietly and he looked up at me

"Nothing is wrong why would you think something is wrong"

"I don't know Josh, I'm sorry if I overstepped my boundary I never meant to I just saw how Millie was coping and I want those kids to have someone to look up to I'm really sorry Josh PL ......" He placed his lips gently on mine and immediately I responded to the kiss

"Why would I be angry at you, do you know what you have done for Millie, she can finally see how she needs to live after Kim's death because she feels guilty when she enjoys things in life and Kim isn't here, you have given her an outlet and I live that others can learn from her she can also learn from you her role model, you have made me so happy I'm forever grateful to you Millie is like my child I would kill for her happiness thanks so much Alicia" he says holding my cheeks as our lips meet, through the kiss 8 felt so much emotion making me fall even more for this man, Lord help me.

"Anything for you babe"

" Ohh so now we are giving nicknames" he smirks causing me to laugh

"I mean we are dating right and you did bring me flowers and chocolate, nicknames are definitely the next step"

"See you looking all smug, I don't mind not at all Ally" he said before kissing me again this time more passionately.

Totally let my imagination do all this I didn't plan for anything I was just going with the flow I hope you liked it I'm not very confident about this chapter but hey the story is building up right and the characters are developing so let's see what happens from here on
