Back in the beast's chambers, Cogsworth came up behind him.

"Well master, I had my doubts, but everything is moving like clockwork. The relationship between two siblings really does win the day." Cogsworth said optimistically.

The beast shook his head. "I let her go."

"You what?!" Cogsworth exclaimed.

"Master, how could you do that?" Lumière said.

"I had to." He replied.

"But why?" Cogsworth asked.

"Because he cares for her." Mrs. Potts explained.

"Then why are we not human?" Lumière wondered.

"Because she doesn't love him. And now, it's too late." Cogsworth said hopelessly.

"But she still might come back." Plumette suggested.

"No. I set her free. She can be with Beau now and have the life she wanted. The life she deserves. I'm sorry I can't do the same for all of you." He apologized. "Now go. Our time is almost past."

The staff sadly walked out of the room leaving the beast alone.

🎵Beast: "I was the one who had it all. I was the master of my fate. I never needed anybody in my life, I learned the truth too late."🎵

The beast looks at the rose sadly.

🎵Beast: "I'll never shake away the pain, I close my eyes but she's still there. I let her steal into my melancholy heart, it more than I can bear."🎵

The beast walked out onto his balcony.

🎵Beast: "Now I know she'll never leave me, even as she runs away."🎵

The beast looked down and watched Beau and (Y/n) riding away on Philippe.

🎵Beast: "She will still torment me. Calm me, hurt me, move me, come what may." 🎵

The beast climbed a staircase that led to a tower.

🎵Beast: "Wasting in my lonely tower, waiting by an open door."🎵

He climbed the spiral staircase and looked out the window to catch a glimpse of his sister.

🎵Beast: "I'll fool myself, she'll walk right in, and be with me for evermore."🎵

🎵Beast: "I rage against the trials of love. I curse the fading of the light."🎵

He was now walking on top of the roof.

🎵Beast: "Though she's already flown so far beyond my reach, she's never out of sight."🎵

🎵Beast: "Now I know she'll never leave me. Even as she fades from view. She will still inspire me. Be apart of everything I do."🎵

The beast now made his way over to another tower, and started climbing my the staircase.

🎵Beast: "Wasting in my lonely tower, waiting by an open door."🎵

He made his way to the very top and looked out over the area.

🎵Beast: "I'll fool myself she'll walk right in. And as long as the long, long nights begin, I'll think of all that might have been. Waiting here for evermore!"🎵
