Comments: I actually liked this even more than book 1. Septimus and Abe are both hilarious and precious together. I love their relationship and their adventures. A great read.
Summary:
Tasks Forces follow strict guidelines, policies that are inflexible for the most part. This is not the case with the STF. Like any Social Justice establishment, it protects civilians. Mortal and Immortal alike. Septimus Wolfe is one such officer of this establishment, every part a lone wolf, figuratively and not so. He goes through partners like his habitually-ripped-to-shreds shirts and has always been content to stick to his own regime and not worry about anyone else. To say he's ego-centric is an understatement, but he gets his work done. Enter Abe, a short and very pretty person claiming to be his new partner on the job. What could go wrong when one very pretty partner on the force and the notorious lone wolf are paired together?
