Luna Flores had never heard of Beacon Hills, California until she had to cut her Christmas break short in order to move there. More than happy for a chance for a fresh start, she's ready to find new friends and explore what she can of Northern California, of this small town she has sworn she had never even seen on a map, and get through high school without another severely embarrassing mental breakdown.
While Stiles Stilinski, fellow ADHD and anxiety ridden peer, and his best friend, shy, sweet Scott McCall, are not exactly what she had in mind in terms of ideal friendships, she sticks around in hopes of a breezy high school experience - complete with lacrosse games and parties that she had never been invited to back home.
It's all seemingly easy.
Until she finds out the truth: Scott McCall is a werewolf. And for some reason, people want him and his friends dead.
