"Your coming to the prom right" my best friend Nia asked.
"Yea why" I said
"You didn't show any interest when we was talking about it earlier so I didn't know if you wanted to go" she said
"I do it's just if tione was here then-" I got cut off
"I know you miss tione you guys had chemistry but you gotta take your mind of him." She said
Me and tione were really close until he moved away with no explanation. He blocked me on all socials and blocked my number so I had no contact with him. I don't really blame him he had a lot going on in his life and me being there just added on.
"I guess ima go get ready though" I said walking into my bathroom.
I turned the shower on and washed myself, washed my hair and shaved myself . I got out and wrapped the towel around me then I brushed my teeth and tongue and got my prom dress on.

"Bestie you look so good" nia said
"So do you" I said
"Okay we need to go now Levi is picking us up" she said
We walked outside and her boyfriend Levi was here
"Hey Levi" I said as I was getting in the car
"Wassup lil sis" he said
"Hey baby" nia said kissing him
"You look good baby" he said kissing back
"So do you" she said smiling
He drove to prom and we got out. There was a lot of people with their prom dates and I was lonely but i don't care because I have myself😭
I walked inside and hung out with nia and Levi for a bit then one of levis friends pulled me to the side.
"Hey trey" I said
"Hi I just wanted to say you look really ugly tonight" he said smiling
"Nigga shush" I said laughing
"Nah I'm joking you look good" he said
Trey was a sweetheart. He would compliment anyone and always brightened up someone's day. Hes really cute but not my type and our friendship is really good and getting together would ruin it.
"Anyway how you been" he said
"Good I guess" I said
"So I have a surprise for you but it's gonna be later so just wait upstairs on the balcony." He said
"Okk" I said confused
I walked upstairs and went outside to the balcony.

I waited forever and no one was there. I decided to stay up here because I kinda liked it no one was here to bother me. I went on my phone and Trey came.
"I forgot about you but the surprise is nearly ready" he said
He went back downstairs and did whatever he was doing.
10 Minutes Later
I saw Trey setting up speakers and I wondered wtf that guy was doing.
He put on better-Khalid

"This song sets the mood" Trey said
I looked at him weird and he walked away.
The lights turned off and it was just darkness
"Nothing feels better than this"
Someone walked out on the balcony and I heard distant chattering.
I was confused on what was happening.
The lights turned on and this bit of the song played.
