"Callie is coming down for Dinner soon. Her boyfriend might be joining her. They are very busy. With their jobs."
"Yeah."
"She actually lives with her boyfriend. Which means she's been with him for awhile."
"Mm-hmm."
"She wants Mom to be here. I will convince her. Wants me to have the life she didn't growing up. With both parents."

Sophia walked in the house.
"What is it?"
"Callie is coming up from LA. To see Dad. We are having Dinner. She wants you to join us."
"You know how it is between your father and me."
"Please."
"Ugh. Fine."

We hugged.

"Are you gonna come with me?"
"Yeah. I will. But I call driving."
"Damn it."
I laughed.
"Let's try for the weekend."

I was getting a call.
It was Callie.
I answered it.
"Does Saturday night work for you, Sophia, and Jill?"
"Yeah."
"Alright."
"You're stuck with my parents on Sunday night then."
"Screw you." Callie joked with her boyfriend.
"Alright. I'll see you on Saturday night."
"Hang up."
"I don't tell you to hang up on your father when you've been on the phone with him for hours. Why should I hang up on mine?"
"Fine."
"Mm."
"You never get any easier, do you?"
"Nope."

Callie and me laughed.
"He's gonna love you. Much like Brandon does."
"I hope so."
"You handled me rejecting you."
"You came around."

We kissed deeply.
She broke the kiss.
"Time for you to meet the Dad."

Callie laughed when I picked her up.
"You better not drop me."
