Rhythms (poem)

35 3 2

I hear the rhythms in my head like

silent tapping on my skull and

no one will ever know

what it sounds like when it sounds like this,

like (silent) ghostly little bits

of thoughts and games behind my eyes

like funny little silly lies

they say,

hear us like a dancer's shoes,

like ivory tapping keyboard keys that twist and turn in melodies of

one and two, three and four,

five we skip and six we don't

and on seven we repeat, but this time we don't skip a beat,

we have no feet but we still dance and

we are silent but we sing,

to melodies like one two three,

hear us and now we're

free free free.
