We woke up this morning and headed to Heathrow.
Daniel put our bags up on the cart whilst I hugged Niko.
"kill it in Tokyo"
"you know I will" I winked.
He then shook Daniel's hand.
"take care of her" he said.
He smiled and nodded.
I waved him off as we walked in.
We checked in and went through security.
Once we got to our gate I sat down with our carryons as Daniel went to get coffee. I opened my phone and sighed.
Since yesterday Lewis has been getting hate.
And not just oh you're stupid kind of hate he was getting racially abused.
I bit my lip.
I need to say something
I flipped the camera and hit record.
I've seen all the remarks that Lewis has been getting since Sunday and I'm disgusted. No matter what happens on the track there is no reason to bring race into it. Formula 1 has zero room for racists and racial abuse against drivers. We have to be better than this
I ended the video and posted it to my story.
Daniel came back with our coffee.
"you okay?" He asked handing me mines.
"just made a statement on the whole Lewis situation" I sighed taking a sip of it.
He sat down next to me.
"the racial hate he's getting is unacceptable"
I nodded.
The first thing Daniel did yesterday was make a statement on his behalf. All drivers and teams did as well.
Soon after, our flight boarded.
The stewards put up our luggage then we took our seats.
As Daniel was taking off his hoodie he raised up his shirt giving everyone in first class a full view of his abs.
