Chapter 3

When you met up with Draco one day

Well he took you out for lunch and made it clear this is catching up and not a date, especially when scorpius said oh lunch is this a date? So after Draco kept making sure you know it's not a date which you already know it's not one

"So Draco before we catch up I've been talking to scorpius and he's told me some stuff." You say as Draco was drinking some wine

"What's that?" Draco says now worried for his son

"Your drinking all the time? Is that all you do? Drink and work?" You say and Draco sighs

"I just need my mind off of it, and it helps me sleep." Draco says and you sigh

"You want scorpius to grow up remembering seeing his father coming home late and drunk? Barely seeing you? Not having his father around? You want him to have your childhood?" You say and Draco sets his drink down and sighs

"I just can't function anymore, I don't know what to think." Draco says and you grab his hand and hold it

"Draco drinking isn't gonna change the past, she cheated on you ok? She left you for someone else and left you with scorpius, if she was gonna come back she would have already she would have fixed everything but she didn't, she left and she's not coming back to you she's with someone else now." You say and tears started to well up in Dracos eyes

"Just I don't understand why she would do that? Did I do something wrong? Did I not give her enough attention? Was it my fault?" Draco says and you hug him tightly and he hugs you back needing a hug

"You didn't do a thing wrong Draco, it's her fault for not staying faithful to you, she cheated she made the choice to cheat, it's not your fault." You say taking his wine away from him, he's obviously not doing well and he's becoming to dependent on wine to numb his pain, and make him forget

So your not gonna let him drink when he's around you

"Look life's hard ok? But you have a son to raise Draco don't let him turn into you ok? Don't let him become you because his father wasn't there." You say and Draco nods as he leans his head on you so upset and you just hug him and rub his back

*I needed that, I needed someone to say you need to do better and your not doing enough, my parents just take care of Scorpius for me and don't say Draco you need to help with him, I need to be a better dad y/n is right, I'm an adult and I need to do better*
