Broken

Thirteen

Kagome felt the warmth on her skin, it felt so nice. The light hurt her eyes, but she didn't care. She was free. She wasn't stuck in that dreadful place anymore.

Things were going to change.

She held in a laugh of pure relief as she continued out of Azkaban, it felt so nice. She didn't remember this feeling, but she would keep it forever. No matter what anyone did they wouldn't be able to take her freedom away.

Kagome would become strong so no one would be able to lock her up again. Nothing would stop her from being able to be in the sun.

"Come now my dear girl." Dumbledore said, seeing the look on her face now she was out of the Prison. The girl didn't seem evil, but Tom had been very good at hiding his dark side when he was younger too.

"We will go get your school supplies. Then you can rest at the Leaky Cauldron. You will stay there tonight and make your way to Kings Cross in the morning to board the Express to Hogwarts." Dumbledore informed as he got on the boat to get off the island. Once they got on the mainland he could apparate to Diagon Alley.

Kagome nodded in understanding, happy that she was getting away from the island, but sad she was leaving behind everyone she loved. She would find a way to get them free, but first she needed to get stronger.

The two sat in silence until they got to the mainland. Dumbledore held out his arm to her and instructed her to hold on as he apparated them.

Kagome did as told, holding back a sneer when she had to touch Dumbledore. She didn't want to but she knew she had to. Taking a deep breath Kagome felt uncomfortable feeling of apparition until it was lifted and the two of them were in a busy street she knew as Diagon Alley.

Kagome let go of Dumbledore and stepped away from him, taking in the busy Alley. It had been so long since she felt magic all around her like this. Wild and free and happy. A small smile stretched across her lips as her eyes took in everything around her.

It was good to be home.

To be back in her world and not locked up, it was all going to change now. Everything was going to change now that she was out.

Ideas went through the young girl's head as she followed the elder Wizard. She had many plans of things to come...but for now, she would seem like an innocent girl who is just learning magic.

Kagome Riddle would be opposite of everything they thought she would be...and she would make them lower their guard.

She would make the world turn when she was done. She would make them see...all of them.

At Hogwarts, a man was looking out his window, a small smirk on his face. He knew things would not be put in motion. Everything was falling into place.

'I will soon have my own body if everything goes as planned' the man thought as his eyes glowed red.
