The Demigod Avenger (a percy jackson x avengers fanfic)

----Chapter 7----

Percy POV

I woke up at 6am the next morning. I went down to the kitchen not expecting anyone else up, but to my suprise Steve is up. "Hey Steve, what are you doing up" I say and he is taken by surprise. "I'm always up at 5 in the morning, what are you doing up" Steve said looking at me. "I slept in, dang. I normally get up at 5 at camp to train" I say and he nods. "I'm gonna go on a run, you wanna join" Steve asks. "Sure, let me go get ready" I say going up to my room.

We got back from our run at 8:30 and everyone else was up and in the living room. "Hey guys, where were you" Tony said sipping his coffee. "Percy and I went on a run" Steve said out of breath. "Percy, you could keep up with him" Clint said impressed and Thalia and Nico laugh a little. "He was running faster than me and he didn't break a sweat until mile 15" Steve said. "What, I have to be able to run a lot for camp" I say staring at everyone. "I'm gonna make pancakes, anyone else want some" I say and Thalia and Nico immediately raise their hands. I start making the pancake batter but I couldn't find the blue food coloring. "Hey Tony, where's the blue food coloring" I yell, "in the cabinet next to the microwave" Tony yells back. About 15 minutes later I put a stack of blue pancakes on the table and everyone just stares at me. "Hey Percy why are they blue" Natasha asks. "It's this thing my mom and my first step dad had, my step dad said there was no such thing as blue food so my mom wanted to prove him wrong so she went out of her way to make everything blue and it's been a tradition ever since" I say cutting my pancakes. 

After we all finished eating Thalia, Nico and I were gonna demonstrate our powers. We all went down to the training room. The avengers sat in a semicircle of chairs, Thor looked like he was about to pass out. "Ok, I'll go first" Thalia said. "I am the daughter of Zeus so I can control lightning" she said. All of the sudden a lightning bolt struck right next to her. "I can also shock people" she adds walking over to Clint and shocked him, I laugh because it wasn't me. Nico went next, "My father is Hades so I can raise an army of the dead and shadow travel" he said and everyone looked confused by the last part. Nico walked over to a dark corner and disappeared and showed up behind Tony. "Boo" Nico whispered into Tony's ear and he screamed like a little girl. We all burst out laughing. "I'm also from the 1940's, I was put in a hotel with my sister and the hotel stopped time so it felt like 5 hours but it was decades" he adds. "Ok, my father is Poseidon and I am also the most powerful here so I can not go full out with my powers or New York will be demolished" I say and everyone nods. I walk over to the pool and raise my hands and the water rises. I make a fist and the water mimiks my hand, I also make a mini hurricane. I put the water back into the pool and go back to where I was standing and make Avengers tower shake a little. Everyone is amazed. "So those were our powers" I saw and everyone is impressed. "I want cookies, I know the recipe. I'll make extra for you guys to take back to camp" I say looking at Thalia and Nico and they look excited.

I go up to the kitchen and start making my moms famous blue cookies. Everyone trickles back to the main room from the training room. Once I'm done mixing the batter and about to put them in the oven J.A.R.V.I.S alerts us. "There is an attack in central park, it seems to be monsters" the AI said and Thalia, Nico and I look at each other. "Alright, Avengers stay here, you guys can't fight them, Thalia, Nico, let's go" I say running to the stairs. 

We get to central park and see the minotaur, 20 empusa, 15 telekhines, Stheno, and Euryale. "I got beef head, Thalia get Stheno and the empusa, Nico get Euryale and the telekhines" I say and they ned and go off. "Hey beef head, you miss me already" I yell. The minotaur runs at me, I side step and jump onto his arm and stab him with riptide and he turns to dust. I see Nico struggling a little so I run over and help him. 10 minutes later we are back with the avengers, covered in gold dust and their mouth's hanging open. "How did you do that" Tony asked surprised. "We train to defeat those monsters from young ages. I defeated the minotaur when I was 12 and had no training" I say walking towards the kitchen, "I'm gonna finish the cookies" I say leaving the Avengers.

An hour later we are all eating blue cookies and watching finding nemo, my choice of course. I do my weird things that I do when I watch this movie and laughing and joking and having a really good time, forgetting about the war and my past. "Hey guys, I'm gonna go to bed. See you tomorrow" I say getting up to go to my room. Once I am out of view from everyone I hear Thalia say, "He seems to be doing better since the war ended", I smile. I am doing better, since I've been with the avengers, I am doing a lot better. I walk to my room preparing for a night of nightmares.
