Dani's pov
It was the morning after I arrived back home. I was woken by the small rays of light shining in through my blinds. I felt good after all those hours of rest. I turned over to be met with the woman I'm in love with. She looked peaceful yet I can see she was a bit stressed. I didn't want to worry her too much about my injury. But she can't know. I brought my hand up the side of her face and pushed a strand of her hair back. This caused her to stir a bit in her sleep. I just watched as she slowly opened her eyes and looked at me.
"Good morning beautiful" I gave her a smile.
She didn't say anything. Instead her face turned a slight shade of red as she moved closer to me and laid on my chest, hiding her face in my neck. I held her as I felt small pecks being peppered onto my neck.
"Mmm babe, don't start something you can't finish." I told her.
"Who says I can't finish it?" She said with a smirk.
She moved on top of me and continued kissing my neck. She was straddling my waist and she leaned down again I felt a sharp pain in my stomach.
"Ouch!" I groaned.
She immediately pulled back with a concerned face.
"Is it your stomach again?" She asked.
I just nodded not wanted to keep on. I tried to move her off my lap to get up but she stood her ground with a stern look.
"I'm not moving. Let me see your stomach." She huffed out.
"No, I'm fine. Let me get up." I pleaded.
She arched her eyebrow looking down at me with her arms crossed. She didn't say anything more as she caught me off guard and quickly lifted my shirt revealing my stomach wrapped in gauze and tape with a good amount of blood seeping through.
I needed to change that...
She gasped. "What in the bloody hell happened Dani?? You said it was nothing. You lied."
I closed my eyes in defeat. And finally moved to get her off me. She sat on the bed still looking at me. I stood next to my bed and sighed.
"I'm fine love. Don't worry. It's just a small cut." I explained to her.
She scoffed. "A small cut? Dani, come here. Let me see it and change your bandages." She said as she got up and pulled me by the collar of my shirt towards the bathroom.
"Lena, I can do it. It's okay." I told her.
"No it isn't. Stop acting like that and just sit still." She said sternly. I kept quiet and let her do what she had to do. She took the gauze I had off and gasped as she saw the large gash I had. She looked up at me clearly pissed but said nothing else as she cleaned it up. I winced at the feeling of the alcohol she put to clean up the blood. Finally she got out new bandages and wrapped me up.
She stared at me as I sat on the bathroom countertop. I was about to speak up when she just walked out the bathroom not saying a word.
"Where are you going?" I asked her confused.
"Home. Then to work." She responded dryly. I could tell she was mad. I felt bad but it was for a good reason. She can't know about me and Kara.
"Lena. Please don't be mad at me. I'm sorry. I just didn't want you to worry." I pleaded trying to stop her as she quickly collected her things ready to go.
"You're sorry? Then tell me. How did that happen? Where did you go that caused that. What business trip did you go on because no one at the office was informed about a trip happening." She slightly yelled at me. I looked down trying to figure out how to respond but nothing came out.
