As I got dry, I wore a white t-shirt and black pyjama pants that went a little under my knees.
I fixed the two spikes in my hair and went out.

Y/N already got two cups of noodles out of the microwave.
She was wearing a black t-shirt and blue long pyjama pants.
Her hair was in a damp braid.

She looked at me and quickly looked away.
"F-Floods here are a real p-problam..."
She said quietly, setting her only table.

"I wouldn't know... I moved here only a while ago. Without you, I would have been swimming my way home."
I joked and she giggled.

"I only have instent noodles, I hope it's okay."
It seems like Y/N calmed down.

"That's fine."
I smiled.
Y/N got her laptop off the table and we set down to eat.

"It's a really small apartment you've
got here."
I tried to start a conversation.

"Small, but cozy."
She shrugged.

"I sometimes think of moving out, but I think I got attached to it.
Besides, it doesn't cost a lot to live here, so I have some savings.
I was planning to go to court and observe trials for a few weeks before getting a job. This is why I have a two-week noodles stock."
Y/N explained.

"I feel really lucky.
On my first day out in the big world, I met you and Nick and Trucy.
And I already got to stand in court.
And I got a job.
I was already prepared for the worst, actually."

I felt warm inside, but I don't think it's from the noodles.
Something with hanging out with Y/N made me happy.

"You know, I was really confused on why you made this last minute call before the trial, but this is what saved our case.
Neither me or practically anyone else working on the case thought about actually checking with the bank, heh..."
I admitted.

"I don't know, it's like I can just feel that there is something important missing and that another point of view is needed.
It's a feeling I had most of my life.
I recognized it while reading the files so I quickly called to check, just in case.
But then stupid me forgot about it..."
Y/N sighed.

"Oh, so is it like a power of yours?"

"Can you call it a power?
I think it's just paranoia."
She chuckled.

"Well, I can sense when someone lies."
I said.

"R-Really? So you are the one with a superpower between us."

"Well, I'm kinda cheating. It's not me, it's the bracelet. It tightens when the whole truth is not revealed, and then it's like time slowed down and I can find that person's nervous tic.
Kinda weird, to be honest."
I explained.

"I think it's cool.
And kinda convenient, since, ya' know, you are trying to fight to find the truth and all."
Y/N said as she finished her food.

"I suppose so... I never thought about that, actually. Wait, I think you just used your power on me. I got another point of view now!"
I joked.
Y/N giggled.

She stood up and took the empty noodle cups and threw them in the trash bin.
I went to look at the window as she washed the forks.

"Seems like the rain stopped, but the water is still pretty high..."

"Welp, looks like tonight you'll have to choose between the couch or a sleeping bag on the floor."
Y/N shrugged.

"I think I'll take the couch."
Y/N nodded and went to her room.
The next thing I know was that a blanket and a small pillow was thrown in my direction.

"Sweet dreams..."
Y/N cutely yawned.

"G'Night, Y/N. Thank you for today."
I said.

I snuggled on the couch.
I'm so glad I met her.
Y/N is so cute and kind, always helping whenever she can.

I thought of her as I drifted into sleep.

I put on my alarm clock to 7 AM.

When I laid in my bed, suddenly it all came back to me.
Apollo Justice. In my apartment.
I FREAKING HELD HIS HAND-

I felt my cheeks burning.
B-But I barely know him!

O-Oh my gosh...
And somehow I wasn't stuttering half of the time?! And I was a functioning member of society?!

What a crazy day...
